This is what I needed to carry my cat to the vet , it's light weight, sturdy, has great ventilation, strong carrying straps that are padded , a very nice fuzzy, removable pad for the comfort of kitty , enough screen areas for the animal to not feel trapped.     • Great quality and surprisingly sturdy, but no zipper locks.

My biggest complaint about this carrier is the same complaint I tend to have with most carriers - there are no zipper locks. That means that a crafty, determined kitty (or freak circumstance) could use their claw or even their nose to nudge the zippers apart and open it. Most cats won't do this, but I have one in particular who is notorious for it and another who has managed it on occasion, and at this point it just isn't worth the safety risk. I'm keeping it and adding my own clips to the zippers to keep it shut and would recommend others do the same, but overall just disappointed to see that carriers are still being made this way. The bottom board is very sturdy, though, which I love - there was no bowing even with my heaviest kitty. The sides are a little flimsy and do sink in slightly but it's not the worst. For cats who want to be able to see everything, the large portion of mesh is great, but for cats who are more timid or feel better and more protected in a "cave," you'll probably want a blanket or towel with you. ... show more

I like that is it sturdy, has two handles and two ways to put your pet in. My major issue with the carrier is it jus too small. If you have a kitten or a chinchilla it would be okay. Maybe even a tiny adult cat could fit it in it. I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my 10# adult cat in there for anything other than an emergency. My ride to the vet round trip is one hour. Then there is the time waiting in for the doctor to come in and the actual appointment. This is too long for a full sized cat. IF there were no other carriers available and there was an emergency she could fit but as a carrier to the vet or any length of time I wouldn't use it. It will sit in the basement as a back up or eventually get donated. ... show more

This carrier has mesh on one side and across the top to allow for air flow. One side is completely closed off and the back panel does not open. You have the top that unzips and the front door. This carrier is decent sized, my 14-pound cat was able to turn around inside and the unit felt sturdy while carrying her. Took off one star for not having a back door and not as much air flow as I think it needs. Still a good unit. Would recommend. ... show more

I've been looking for an animal-friendly way to transport my cat, and so far, this is looking good. While I haven't gotten her into it by force, she's been willing to lay in it in the living room. It's a good size for her, and pops up and collapses well. I just haven't carried her in it yet.

I really like this pet carrier and will be perfect for my new puppy. The mesh is nice and the front and top are mesh and the pet can see out. The front opens up and the top can unzip as well better for cats that way I imagine. There are sturdy straps/handles and there is a removable shoulder strap that clips on and off. The description says that this is tsa approved and I do believe it would fit under your seat. I subtracted a star because this carrier would not hold a 25lb pet. My other smallish 16lb mixed breed just barely fits. ... show more
