OF course, I have my candy dish next to the TV with some TOOTSIE treats for all. DEAR TOOTSIE CUSTOMERS: HI! I am one of you and have a suggestion on what to buy.... In my opinion, the TWO best CANDY BUYS right now (online or in-store) are the 400-COUNT CHARMS MINI-POPS from TOOTSIE ROLL (beats COSTCO by a few cents) and THIS 5-LB bag of CHILDS PLAY. Do like I did and BUY BOTH! GREAT FLAVORS in MINI-POPS and you can give the ones with flavors you may not care for to the kids in the neighborhood. I ALWAYS have some on-hand to give to neighbors' kids when walking my dog. If you think there is not enough fruit flavor in the CHILDS PLAY, the bag of MINI-POPS balances everything out and gives you a wonderful lower-calorie HARD candy addition – ONLY 60 calories in THREE (3) pops (because they are so small). Just be sure to put the candies in freezer bags - and IF you have room - into the freezer. I do not have freezer room AND have had 1 bag of 400-count CHARMS mini-pops for almost 2 YEARS in a cabinet by my TV in sealed zip-top bags and MORE in a sealed candy dish – with only a couple left, hence reason for this purchase. They are NOT gooey yet and surprised at this! I have not had tootsie rolls for a few years and thought some chocolate might be a good add-on to the lollipops. I needed a large amount of candy for the plastic wrap game and this was the best priced for a high amount of candy. We loved it all and it's definitely well worth it compared to other candies. Will be buying again for piñatas too!

My only complaint (aside from the price - blame inflation, I know, but this really should be priced a tad lower) is that there are way too many Tootsie rolls. Other than that, a nice, fruity selection. Aside from that, there are lots of classics that both kids and adults will enjoy. This bag is great for stuffing goodie bags, putting in Christmas stockings, planting in Easter eggs, stuffing in pinatas, or just letting kids grab by the handful on October 31st. I was pleased and the bag went quite far. I will very likely be purchasing again next year. If you like the classics and want something a little different than nonstop chocolate products, this is a lovely alternative! Have fun. ... show more

Some of the candy was open inside the packaging and there was literally 10 tootsie pops inside the darn bag and not enough fruity tootsie rolls. I also weighed the bag on my food scale and it was not 5 pounds. Lol
