This "step ladder" is more than I expected. It is twice the height of the kitchen step ladder I've been using. I need it to mount and secure a carrier for our van. I was surprised that it was definitely NOT light. But that's because it is made so sturdy, and will last a long time. The ladder is a bit heavy, but its also rated for 350lbs. this is the reason I got this one. My furnace filters are in the ceiling and this ladder will be much safer to use than a step ladder. When the time comes to paint I will feel much safer using this ladder over a step ladder.
