  • Worth Every Penny
Nobody puts what sand they used so here you go. I used P.W. Gillibrand #20 sand from Lowes. Used it with an electric pressure washer to clean rust from a junkyard axle. It worked great. Make sure the probe stays upright, and don't let it get wet like everyone says.

  • Work with electric 2000 psi washer? Yes, but.....
I've used a Pressure Washer Sandblaster kit with 5000 psi and 4 gpm. Worked great. But could I do it at home with an electric power washer, 2000 psi and 1.2 gpm? Answer is yes, it will work. It will remove rust down to bare metal but it takes a while. I noticed the instructions said keep the siphon hose aligned to always be up so water will not run into the siphon hose. Very important! The sand was not siphoned up continuously, it was more like a gulp. About every 5 seconds sand would flow to the nozzle and get blown out, then another gulp. I decided to try putting the sand bucket up higher, so moved it to tailgate of pickup. It helped some, time between gulps were less. Also used the bag from the chipper shredder to cover the sand bucket to keep sand dry. Since the siphon hose is so short this helped a lot - it stayed dry. Certainly for the money this is a 5-star item. Not a miracle, but it did what I hoped it would do. I hope I can find spare nozzles! ... show more

  • Painting Project
I have never attempted sandlasting before. We decided to give it a try. Then would not have to rent an air compressor and sandblasting rig. The wet sandblasting works great. Set up it fast. I used it for exterior painting projects first. Will use it for many different projects. The most important tip is to make sure the sand is dry. You have to make sure the black part which connects sandblaster's hose and nozzle should stand up. Or the water will go into the hose and wet the sand. The the sandblasting will not work. ... show more

  • Very pleasantly surprised!
I needed some sort of sandblasting mechanism that I could blast large pieces (aluminum transmission housing & transfer case that I'm rebuilding) so I opted for this. Saw lots of positive reviews and gave it a shot. So glad I did! I had two bags of plain "play sand" from the home improvement store and they worked like an absolute charm. I have a 10+ year old gas pressure washer and it had no trouble at all cleaning the two. Have a bucket ready to pour your sand in and just stab the suction hose in. You WILL want to have a face shield while you're blasting though; if your pressure washer is decent it'll blast water/sand everywhere. I have some steel crossmembers I blasted as well and surprisingly they didn't immediately rust up like you'd expect. As another reviewer said "money well spent!" ... show more

  • pretty darn good product
I will admit, I was seriously skeptical about this product due to the price. I was very pleasantly surprised that it worked so well. I had some silicate blast media left from a project a while back and used it to wet blast a smoker I was working on. Worked like a champ. I would definitely recommend it if you need to blast something. It's not as fast as the ads portray, but still works great for the price. ... show more

  • Works good for price
Worked good , used it once before it got cold , will use it again in summer. Got play sand from the store and it did half dollar size blast marks.

  • Did an awesome job was not expecting that
Worked alot Bette than anticipated, did an awesome job removing powercoating from aluminum. I used beach sand from lowes 3$ a bag, just has to be dry and works awesome. If you use it in your driveway you can let the sand dry sweep it up and re use it.

  • Sandblaster does work
Ok I read others reviews and I saw mixed reviews. Even so I decided to give it a shot due to my sandblaster and industrial air compressor being at my other house in another state. My home pressure washer is a Briggs n Stratton 2100psi Sand - Lowes play sand... i wasted a half bag trying to figure it out lol Important tip #1- pour sand into a bucket through a window screen mesh also purchased at lowes. This prevents unseen chunks n clogs in tip. Important tip #2- when connecting the sandblaster attachment to the pressure washer wand *make sure to put the sand feed port facing up*. This prevents water from wetting the sand and clogging the feed tube. After I figured it out I was able to pressure wash my 1972 Oldmobile Cutlass rear end. Note: upon drying it flash rusts super fast. No big deal. Just spray the part with Ospho or Chemprime and it will eat up the rust and clean it so you can Epoxy prime and paint. Would I buy another one? Yes for small projects but for big projects Id rather use my traditional system I think this sums it up. Most errors are user error so dont be defeated when something doesnt work right. Pay attention, observe, and you will find the problem. Unless you vote democrat then theres no hope. ... show more
