It is man made material and does smell when the package is first opened, so take it out for “airing out” for a few hours. I already bought this rug in black for my bedroom and now I bought it for my toddler's room. The color is exactly as shown and it really brings the room together. My toddler and I love the softness of the fur, we spend hours playing and relaxing on it. The only downside is that after several months it is impossible to clean and is ready for the garbage. But that is expected of a cheap rug. Overall I think it's a great choice unless you have the bucks to spend on a real expensive one... ... show more

The price is so good for what it is—I don’t think you could find something like this for any cheaper. It’s really good quality and stays in one place (you don’t need anything underneath it). I love that the rug is soft and is a nice full size for the bedroom. The Color Purple is beautiful and pops out. The only thing I wish it was easier to clean. You have to make sure you watch what you get on it. I advise you to clean it every two days.
