The drone was great for learning how to fly a drone. Except when it was let to fly outdoors and took off, gone. Once disconnected from the controller, 300 feet+, flew away not to be found.

Me and my son first tried it in the house where it worked great as it could inside a house then it was a very nice day. No when we went to a field and I wouldn’t even move charge the batteries fully did everything you’re supposed to do ended up being a total disaster.

I bought this as a starter drone and to use the camera for inspecting roofs. The drone itself works fine. However, when trying to upload the app to my phone, it said the software only works on older devices. If I wanted a drone without a camera, that is what I would have purchased and paid less money. I bought this for my 12 YO son, so that he could learn how to fly drones and hopefully move up to my DJI drone. He was able to learn the controls pretty easily, but being able to control something that is as tiny as this is quite different than controlling a drone that you can fly outside with wind. Don't get me wrong, this is a quite nice toy, but I don't think it is much more than that. ... show more

Initial Review Sept 17, 2022 We have a $150 drone with a camera. This one is 1/3 the price and easier to use. When I first got it out of the box I set it up and flew it in the house without using the WiFi and phone app. It behaves just like so many other little quad copters on the market. When I downloaded the app to my phone and went through the few small steps the camera image showed up on my phone with no fuss or bother. My larger more expensive drone takes about 15 minutes to get it to reach the same level. The picture image is sharp and clear. The first thing that struck me as I opened the package was that the drone and included parts are all housed in a zippered case. Very nice! I like it when I can keep all of the parts conveniently together. This is a small drone. When folded it easily can be hidden in my hands. The arms swing out to unfold the little drone. There is no protective cage around the rotors but there are four snap on protectors which should help to minimize damage to the drone or other objects. Two batteries are included. The easily slide into a slot on the drone. I'm very pleased that charging is accomplished with an included USB-A to microUSB cable. No proprietary cables. Everything is satisfactory except one thing. The camera can be rotated by hand from straight ahead to pointing 90 degrees down to the ground. But the camera can't be tilted via the remote or app. On the other hand this is an inexpensive drone and the features it does have are pretty good for this price range. The range is about 100 meters unobstructed so it's not like the big expensive drones. Think of it as a toy. It has no lifting capability, does not have GPS, and has no fancy features like return to home. I crashed it a few times without the rotor protectors installed. No problem.
