It tastes horrible and left my whole mouth coated in a yucky-tasting film that lasted all day. I was also irritated to see that it contains SLS. I should have read the ingredients. I don’t think you should claim to have a “natural” product that contains SLS. I have been reading how fluoride is bad so I thought I would switch to this. But after reading ingredients it has carrageenan which is a no no along with sodium lauryl sulfate. I was using this as a subscribe and save deal but will never touch this tooth paste again. What a shame. They need to remove the junk out of this tooth past and give us a safer option. ... show more

After I bought these I found out Tom's has sodium lauryl sulfate which causes canker sores. I always thought Tom's was a good brand, but I guess not. I won't be using any of Tom's products from now on. Do your own research and do a "DuckDuckGo" search of sodium lauryl sulfate.

I would leave no stars if I could. This is partially my fault for not realizing/caring that this toothpaste is “fluoride free” when I bought it, but I believe it is the company’s fault for poor advertising and descriptions in the listing. I have never had cavities in my life, but have always used toothpastes like Colgate, aqua fresh, etc that do include fluoride. I switched to this simply to try something different and because I was looking for a brand that doesn’t test on animals, and that seemed like a reasonable price for the amount. FLUORIDE IS IMPORTANT! It is the #1 preventative of tooth decay (CAVITIES). I have never had a cavity, and just went to the dentist for a cleaning and suddenly I have four!!!!! Not a coincidence. Ive been eating, brushing, flossing the same as I always have- the only difference is the elimination of fluoride from my dental care. My husband and I both suffer from teeth sensitivity. It is the worst sensation- the feeling of cold air brushing over your front teeth. We tried prescription strength toothpaste paired with regular floss, Crest Whitening Mouthwash, but it did not alleviate our symptoms. I was told by my dentist to switch mouthwashes to ACT Restoring because it restores enamel that is weak and will alleviate sensitivity and use Glide Comfort Floss. Boy, was she correct. After just a few days of using the mouthwash I no longer feel that uncomfortable sensation on my teeth. I also am no longer needing prescription strength toothpaste. I now use this mouthwash twice daily and floss once a day, in combination with Tom's Whole Care toothpaste. My gums do not bleed when I floss and I don't dread flossing. Glide floss goes easily between even the tightest teeth and has a lovely mint flavor that helps freshen breath at the same time. Changing the floss and mouthwash have made a huge improvement and now I can eat hot or cold foods without wincing in pain. ... show more
