I had the metal-and-grey-plastic "guaranteed to work" Oxo sponge holder stuck to the side of my stainless steel kitchen sink for a few years. Every week the suction cups would unstick and the thing would clatter into the sink. I cleaned the suction cups, lubricated them with soap and water, to no avail. Then this triangular invention came along, and does the job beautifully. It holds quite a lot - two regular size 3M kitchen sponges, 1 wine glass brush, 1 small dish scrub brush, and even the sink stopper itself. It won't collapse as it's quite sturdy. At first I was afraid it would stick out too far into the sink and be annoying, or aesthetically displeasing, but my fears were unfounded. My only regret is that I put up with the suction cup contraption for years. I should have switched to this much sooner, but this invention wasn't available back then. It's a great design and the inventor(s) should be blessed for giving the world such a small but necessary thing. ... show more

I love this unit, as we have a small kitchen/home, yet this gives me enough space to put the sponge (eliminating it getting lost in the water) allowing it to dry better, allows for a dish cloth to hang, but also a convenient place to dry a mug or the Keurig refill cups after washing (easier to find and not get twisted up in the strainer w/other dishes) Easy to clean by placing in dish water and soaking for a few minutes, or spray down with a cleaning solution w/a bit of dawn dish soap then wash and rinse. At first when I took it out, I thought it was a bit flimsy, but that is the result of it being able to be folded/rolled up. The only negative is that it can easily move about, yet we have a granite counter with an inset sink, Other sinks w/the lip should do fine. For myself, a hand soap dispenser, small dish soap container (we refill) and the sponge and dish cloth fit quite nicely and the weight of the soap dispenser will help keep it in place. The review asked about suction power, which is no. It stays in place by keeping your sink area clean with one or two items on top. Will I purchase again? Absolutely!! The media could not be loaded. This little thing is a gem. It’s just big enough to hold a drying coffee mug and my counter rag to dry. It occasionally wiggles around, but not enough to be a huge bother. It’s never fully slipped off onto the counter or into the sink, which is probably what I would consider a bother. I’m using Swedish cloths that you can’t just toss over the faucet or door handle bc of the way they dry. This was the perfect solution plus an extra little drying spot. If you are going to place a bit heavy things like a hand wash or a dish wash on it, you may want to reconsider buying this. While it is pretty nice, it rocks a lot when you put those heavy objects on it, which often makes other things to fall off. It would have been nicer if it was more stable.

I have quartz countertops. Hard water is something that we can't seem to get away from even with a soft water system. We constantly have scale from putting the scrubber on the counter. This totally eliminates that. It is sturdy and works great with my single basin sink.
