  • Its ok
Size: XX-Large
Product arrived in 2 bags both were in good condition but the product itself had a hole in it. It has good tailbone coverage compared to the other padded shorts I bought but it does not cover your caucus. I can fot my hand between the padding on my back thy and my tailbone area. Pretty sure while skating if I land flat on my but my tailbone will be safe however my buttbones will be hurting. Returned in hopes of finding one with full coverage. ... show more

  • Order down a size
Size: Medium
I am using these for protection while skiing the woods. They are comfortable to wear, and fit under my ski pants fine, and I really like the padding. It provides great protection for my tailbone.

  • It’s pretty good
Size: Medium
They’re alright, just wish they had more padding. The images make it look super padded but they aren’t that puffy. Better than nothing tho cuz snow hurts! They could be cheaper than $30 bucks tho. Maybe 20 would be nice.

  • Saved my butt *literally*
Size: Medium
I took these on my first trip snowboarding and they were incredible! I felt invincible every time I fell and returned with no bruises. Super happy with this purchase!

  • Affordable, peace of mind
Size: X-Large
After getting flung about the mountain the first couple of days learning how to snowboard, I decided to pick up a pair of these. Glad I did. Helps to protect the tail bone more than anything. It provides peace of mind which makes my riding slightly less risk adverse. I'd recommend them, especially to middle-aged people looking to learn to snowboard. I wear them over my long johns and underneath my outer player. The long johns make then feel less scratchy. Slightly tight at first but you forget about them once you get going. Definitely great value for the money. I've seen other pairs go for $50+. ... show more

  • Learning snowboarding becomes price of cake with this product
Size: X-Large
I went for snowboarding lesson as a total beginner without this protection shorts….every fall brings your confidence level down and you are close to quiting….I was recently introduced to this and what a huge difference….I was willing to every fall as a learning curve rather than bring me close to leaving the sport for good…highly recommended…. ... show more

  • Nice protection
Size: Large
Protects me from ass pain. but you really need to wear some pants under it, or it will scratch your thigh.

  • Comparing this with BodyProx
Size: Large
I decided to do a product comparison instead of a straight review being that I own both the BodyProx and Tomshoo. First off, my use is for LIGHT protection for roller hockey skating. I use this during drills, practice, skating and an occasion pick up game. For these activities, both models will suffice. I would not recommend for actual real game use or in place of hockey girdles because i don't feel they offer the same amount of protection. These are more like referee protection quality. If that's fine with you then continue on. Both are comfortable, though I would give the edge in overall comfort to the TOMSHOO. The Bodyprox material is slightly rougher, but not noticeable unless you happen to have both. TOMSHOO is more like soft underwear in spots. FIT: The edge here goes to BodyProx. I am 5'8, 155 Lbs, with a 31 inch waist. I would describe myself as being in the fit category. I wear a Medium in most clothing. The BodyProx Medium fits me well, snug and secure. I opted for a LARGE in the TOMSHOO after reading the reviews and I'm glad I did. The TOMSHOO runs on the small side. The hip and leg area fit fine but when I go to tighten the waist and zipper area (velcro) i find it quite snug. So even going up one size, it still seemed tight around the waist. Good news is that even though it was snug, it wasn't terribly uncomfortable. And i think if i went up 2 sizes, it would be too big. So, bottom line, GO ONE SIZE UP on the TOMSHOO, True to size on the BodyProx. Also, the waist area of the Tomshoo is adjustable via velcro whereas the Bodyprox is an elastic waist. Protection: Ok, as previously stated, they both offer light protection. The TOMSHOO has extra padding on the bum area which is good for skating or activities where you may land on your butt often. The Bodyprox has thicker feeling protection all around the girdle, but lacks the same protection on the rear end area. Since in skating, you fall on your butt more than you do your sides, Tomshoo would get my vote here. VALUE: The BodyProx was on sale and I paid $27, otherwise it's $30. The Tomshoo not on sale is $20. If you opt to buy more than 1 pair, then the Tomshoo is more economically feasible. OVERALL: I give a slight edge to the TomShoo. The edge would have been greater had it not been for the over snugness around the waist. I am favorable to both. ... show more
