Description

Based on widely popular AT-X 11-20 F2.8 PRO DX model atx-i 11-20mm F2.8 CF was redesigned and optimized for contemporary APS-C sensor DSLR cameras in terms of improved specifications andrenovated design with still photographers and video content creators’ demands in mind. Focal length 11-20mm that covers equivalent angle of wide prime 18mm, 21mm, 24mm, 28mm lenses makes this lens attractive to be chosen after standard zoom lens or initially possessed wide angle zoom kit lens. A constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 throughout the entire zoom range is realized to achieve great results in low light conditions, for depth of field control and easy manual shooting, while maintaining a reasonable size and weight. To achieve an exceptional optical performance required for ultra wide angle zoom lens 3 aspherical glass elements and 3 Super-Low Dispersion glass elements were used in order to minimize distortion, manage spherical aberration and astigmatism while achieving excellent edge-to edge resolution and high contrast through the entire image. Anti-reflective multi-layer coating improves light transmission and minimizes reflections while newly applied water-repellent coating makes wiping and cleaning the surface of the front glass element easier. • A+++
I use my camera mostly for shooting videos and the lens captures my shots to my satisfaction.

  • Very crisp photos!
I originally bought this lens for taking photos of the Milky Way and stars. But it’s been cloudy. So I did a walk around the farm to try out the lens. Man o man! This lens is amazing! The camera body I use with the lens is a canon 90d.

  • Auto and manual focus switching is somewhat unorthodox.
Very good glass! Amazingly sharp, crisp images on my Canon 70D! Would I buy it again, or some other Tokina lens? You betcha!

  • Damaged focus clutch
The lens looked beautiful, good built quality. At the moment of using the lens the focus clutch was stuck on the AF (autofocus) placement. I couldn’t move the clutch to MF (manual focus) position. I used it on my Canon 90D and despite being on AF, the camera didn’t recognize the auto focusing option. So I was not able to focus with the lens. Waiting on replacement from seller. ... show more

  • Good Affordable and Versatile Lens for EF-S Gimbal Shots
Using this on the BMPCC6K and at 5.6 it's a very sharp lens, at 2.8 you have to be very fast and good on the focus wheel I don't use Auto Focus so I don't know how well it works for this, but I'm eyeing another 14mm 1.8 Lens but for the time being I'm sticking with this lens until possibly next year or later this year. Pros: -Sharp above 3.2 - 5.6. (Above that it can be very sharp to infinity) -Great for Gimbals because it's lightweight and the zooming is internal not shifting the weight -Affordable lens, and with a lot of research I can safely say this is the most affordable wide-angle EF-S lens that has a lower Aperture Cons: -Not so sharp at 2.8 - but still plenty useable for Video on Gimbal -Bokeh is not that great no matter how wide open you have it I would say if you're using a BMPCC4K, 6K, or 6K Pro on a Gimbal this is the best option out there for a faster wide-angle lens at this price point. ... show more
