It has straps I then hooked under the front and back edges of the boat to keep the cover from blowing away. I have a Pelican paddle boat and notice that there's a lot of dust and dirt that collects on top of it. I wanted to cover it with something other than a simple tarp and came across this boat cover. The cover fits the Pelican perfectly and has a nice look and feel to it. Just like my other boat covers it is made out of the 600D fabric and it's very heavy duty. I've tried the parachute like material covers, they are ok but eventually stain, can't be washed aggressively, the cotton cords turn to dust, and if water collects, the material stretches to stay that was forever. This cover is like I used to have hand made for my boat buying customers at my dealership. $100k boats to run 70 mph down the highway with. I'm eager to see how many years this lasts and I'm not afraid to hit it with the power washer. The key to covers is supporting it inside with anything that works to make it tent like and prevent any water from starting to accumulate. If it rolls of as it lands, it won't pool and cause problems. I used beach balls and cushions with the light weight covers, this I can use something better with. ... show more

    • Too big - maybe that's my fault?

The product description says this cover fits a 3-5 person Pelican paddle boat. I have a four person Pelican, so it should fit, right? I probably should have read more of the product description, because this cover is almost 10' long and nearly 6' wide - so much longer than my paddle boat that it almost covers it folded in half. It seems well made. The fabric is thick and the stitching is tight and all, but there's just no way to secure it to my paddle boat as large as it is. I should also note that this cover is not fitted in any way - it's just a big, flat, rectangular cover with some loops for the tie-down straps. That may end up working for me, as I'm thinking of cutting it down to make something that will fit my boat, but I wasn't planning to play seamstress when I bought it. ... show more
