I should have known better after reading reviews from others that this particular model has a warped reflection. The only reason that I bought was because in one review over a month ago, I saw a response from ToiletTree that they acknowledged the design issue and thought had fixed it. Either I misread that or they are shipping out faulty remaining inventory first. I sent a message to toiletTree via the amazon message system requesting to exchange a few days ago but still no reply. I was very pleased with the original silver model, but this newer model is too distorted Update 1 year later, I decided to throw away the thinner model and went back to the thicker framed versions. Actually this time I went with the one with led lights. The lights don’t really help much at all, but it is a larger mirror size. The distortion on the thicker is much less, which will be more ideal for shaving. I wish toilettree could improve the durability of the mirror itself, since it’s not a glass mirror, it stains from hard water, calcium, and don’t even think about trying to clean this mirror with any cleaner or cloth I hope I get more than a year use from the new one. Still, I go back to this brand because the tank concept really does the best job of providing a fog free experience ... show more

I've owned a version of ToileTree's fogless mirrors for over five years and been happy, so I thought I'd try this new larger one. It's a great idea (I like the smaller fill tank), but the quality of the "mirror" is incredibly poor and there is a huge amount of distortion. Depending upon the angle, you can have a ginormous forehead or big Jay Leno chin. It's really like being in a fun house of mirrors -- and I don't want to look at myself like that. I got the large/tall mirror because I liked a previous mirror from this same manufacturer (the deluxe model with LED lights), and because I like the method used to make the mirror fog-free. But, this is a very disappointing product. Here’s why: This is advertised as being a “larger” mirror. Granted, if you scroll through the images, you do eventually get dimensions, but on the face of it, I had expected “larger” to mean... larger. This mirror is actually slightly smaller than the previous mirror I got from this company. The bezels are much smaller, which is fine, but the mirror itself (the actual reflective part) is smaller too. But like I said, the dimensions in the photo do match the real product, so this is more of a squabble about perception and language. I guess they meant that it’s larger than the travel-size. The mirror is of significantly cheaper construction. The deluxe mirror from this company was solidly built, and lasted me for years with no complaints. Flat surfaces were flat, edges straight, no signs of warping. This new mirror, though, seems to be manufactured much more poorly, and with cost cutting in mind. The plastic is all thinner, is all warped, and the whole thing has a “chintzy” feeling to it. A squeegee is provided, which is supposed to fit in a slot on the tray... but because the whole tray is warped and curves, the squeegee can’t slide into the slot more than halfway. Also (side note), the squeegee is larger than the mirror; not by much, but enough to make it awkward to use. This mirror boasts the ability to tilt/swivel the mirror into whatever position you want. This should be an upgrade as the old product could only tilt up and down. Unfortunately, the ball joint that allows for the tilt/swivel is rather loose. If you’re careful, you can get the mirror to stay in a position close to where you want (as long as it’s pointed somewhat upward). But as soon as you add water to the mirror to prevent fogging (the whole central tenet of the design), the mirror becomes too heavy and droops down and to the left, making the mirror useless - I can look at my left shoulder without worrying about the mirror fogging up, or I can see my face to shave for about 15 seconds before the mirror digs up and I can’t see anything. Neither of those options works for me. Finally, and this is a design gripe: there’s mention of the ability to turn the mirror landscape... but if you do that, you’re also just pouring the water out of the back of the mirror, so it’ll fog up again. Why brag about one feature that negates another one? All of this, the cut corners in terms of materials and construction, the small size, the poorly implemented design, and the price hasn’t changed from the (much) better, deluxe mirror, which was a little bigger, better built and included LED lights. I honestly don’t know how they’re able to justify the price for this product. To say I’m disappointed in what I’m getting for the price now would be an understatement. ... show more

This is not our first toiletree mirror. We had the standard size in our shower for the last two years and it worked great, probably still does but we moved and left it. Ordered the large one and it fell off in under a week. That's not my biggest complaint though, the mirror would fall forward with the weight of the water. Waste of money. First of all, finally someone that got it right when it comes to making a fogless mirror. The reservoir on the back that holds the warm water actually WORKS to make the mirror fog free. For that I give 5 stars. My 2 star rating is based off the fact my mirror is either warped on the sides, not perfectly flat or whatever. My reflection from side to side and on the top and bottom are very distorted and make using the mirror not all that useful to be really honest. Again, if you can handle the distortion at the edges, this company got the fogless part right! ... show more

I had the older version of this mirror for so long that it stopped being adjustable. After growing tired of not being able to position it like I like (you know, so that I can see my face), I decided to buy a new one. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that there was an updated version with some features that I always wanted in the other one- much less bulky mirror and places to hang my razor. Also, I loved that it was a ball joint (especially since the lack of adjustability is what brought me back to buy another) and I definitely preferred the vertical look to the old horizontal one. It installed very easily, looked way better than the other - I was in love... until I actually used it. The mirror is like a funhouse mirror. Unless you are nearly touching your nose to it, it distorts everything in crazy ways. Also, the razor holder will not hold my razor. Maybe it would work for a cheap plastic disposable one, but the weight of mine (just a basic razor, nothing crazy) makes it turn and slip right out of there. So I look totally crazy and have flying razors in my shower now, lol, sigh... ... show more
