We have a small kitchen and I wanted something that wasn't too expensive but still adjusts to grow with my child. This stool works great, it is well made and looks nice. I bought when my son was about 1.5 years old and he still uses it everyday now that he is 3.5 years old. He also moves a lot while standing on it and it never tipped over to the sides. We keep it facing and against the countertop, so I am not sure how it would do about tipping over the front. I've had this kitchen stool for about a month now. It's perfect for my 18-month daughter. She's always been wanting me to pick her up while I'm working in the kitchen. I bought this so she could see what I'm doing and help with simple things. My daughter is pretty short, even for her age, and this stool provides a perfect height for her to be at the kitchen counter with me. The built-in step at the bottom allows her to climb into/out of it on her own as well - I don't have to pick her each time we use it. The product came well-packed with easy instructions for assembly. All tools provided, but I recommend using a cordless drill for faster assembly. I love the all-wood construction, it's going to last for a long time.
