This little ratchet is ridiculously handy. I have used it for over one month know and can’t believe how often I reach for it. I mostly use it for hex heads, and it has almost completely replaced using regular allen keys or t handles. Also a great alternative to a stubby screwdriver. The direction switch is a little sloppy, but at this price its hard to complain about. The flex head is a must, and I would definitely recommend the flex head to the standard. I am now looking at the swivel head version of this ratchet, as I think it would be an even better fit in most applications. Magnet is strong enough to get the job done and the bits fit more tightly than my 1/4 sockets and magnetic bit holders. Swivels around 240 degrees and it stays in position unless you apply force. It's pretty small but I don't need a lot of leverage in a 1/4in ratchet.

This is a great mini bit ratchet. Though it's tiny, it's got some heft to it. Everything is machined and finished nicely. The swivel head moves smoothly but has enough resistance to stay put in whatever position you leave it. There aren't any catches or stops to the swivel head. I found that when I was driving screws, I'd apply light pressure with my thumb or my other hand on the back of the swivel head to keep the bit engaged. I was concerned that I would inadvertently switch the direction of the ratchet, but the direction lever is more like an almost-flush dial. I like it better than the usual toggle-style switch most of my other bit ratchets have. The ratchet mechanism is smooth with a short working arc. Overall, I'm very pleased with this tool and think it's a real bargain under $20. ... show more
