I bought 2 of these for my wife's diamond art pictures, and they are perfect, with multiple options on lighting modes and times. Both lights work off the same remote, so we have a spare remote now. You have 3 separate lighting modes, warm white (yuk), white, and cool white. You can dim or brighten with the remote, and bright is pretty bright too. You can also use the remote to set how long you want them to run (15, 30, or 60 minutes, or, until you use up all of the battery), and it works (I tested them all). Easy install, as the mount just hangs on 2 screws, and the light bar has a magnet, so when you are needing to recharge them, you simply pull it off the mount, charge it, and pop it back up. The mount has a pad on it where the magnet attaches, so it won't scratch the unit (smart idea). I looked at several of these before purchasing, and also read the previous reviews, and I agree these are excellent. You can also control On and Off from a touch button on the side of the light bar (in case you lose the remote), but no control over dimming or timing. This comes with a Micro-USB cable, but no wall adapter (not much comes with adapters anymore, so get used to it). When charging, the LED indicator is red, and when fully charged, it goes green. I like these so much, I'm going to get another one, or two..... * Update * - Yup, I like these so much, I got more...and now that family has seen them, they all want them too....looks like I know what to get as Christmas gifts. ... show more

For the price, this is a great library or art light. For me, using the light 6 hours a day, one full charge lasts three days. I caved and started keeping it connect via USB since I'm using it as ambient desk lighting. I couldn't see this as a long-term solution for gallery or library lighting. Additionally, the remote is mediocre in responsiveness - specifically the dimming function. You really gotta mash those buttons for off and on. Having the timer is great though, considering the poor battery life. If you can leave it hardwired and don't fiddle often with the settings, I very much recommend this. If you need this to be wireless or change the dimmer or warmth frequently, you're gonna get frustrated enough to come and write a product review. ... show more

Looking for easy lighting without hiring an electrician to hard wire. These fit the bill, Dislike: if I’m being picky, it would be the cheaper gold color verse a nice brass look. I live in a coastal ACK house where brass would be more appealing, but these are so sleek and add a nice modern touch without needing to polish them. Easy to charge, I can use one remote for all four that I bought. They’re hanging near each other (five feet apart) and they respond very well when I point to one from afar without all reacting to the remote at once. Easy to install, I like the solid wall mount on these verse others on Amazon that have an open space in the middle. I did return the 13” and went with the 16” for all walls, the 16” looks better even with smaller paintings, would absolutely recommend. ... show more

While the concept of this is great what I am not too thrilled about is that the light does not last as long, if you have it on for more than 8 hrs it will turn itself off and you constantly have to recharge it. If I want to keep it plugged in I would need a longer cord. I do love the idea of it though. ... show more
