I bought 2 of these for my wife's diamond art pictures, and they are perfect, with multiple options on lighting modes and times. Both lights work off the same remote, so we have a spare remote now. You have 3 separate lighting modes, warm white (yuk), white, and cool white. You can dim or brighten with the remote, and bright is pretty bright too. You can also use the remote to set how long you want them to run (15, 30, or 60 minutes, or, until you use up all of the battery), and it works (I tested them all). Easy install, as the mount just hangs on 2 screws, and the light bar has a magnet, so when you are needing to recharge them, you simply pull it off the mount, charge it, and pop it back up. The mount has a pad on it where the magnet attaches, so it won't scratch the unit (smart idea). I looked at several of these before purchasing, and also read the previous reviews, and I agree these are excellent. You can also control On and Off from a touch button on the side of the light bar (in case you lose the remote), but no control over dimming or timing. This comes with a Micro-USB cable, but no wall adapter (not much comes with adapters anymore, so get used to it). When charging, the LED indicator is red, and when fully charged, it goes green. I like these so much, I'm going to get another one, or two..... * Update * - Yup, I like these so much, I got more...and now that family has seen them, they all want them too....looks like I know what to get as Christmas gifts. ... show more

For anyone who has had issues with their light not holding a charge I had the same problem and by process of elimination and way too much time on my hands, I was able to get it to fully charge. I ended up draining it and then putting it back on the charger. This time there was no green or red light so I swapped out the cables with one from another device that I knew worked. The light came on. Red. Good, it’s charging…but it turned green within an hour. I unplugged it, plugged it back in and got a red light. This time it charged overnight and has worked fine ever since. In my case the cable that came with the light was faulty. Below is my original review prior to the cable swap. The first thing that bothered me was the light that it put out. Rather than a smooth, soft seamless light it puts off lighting similar to the light strips you put on the back of the television. But the BIGGEST issue is the fact that it doesn't hold a charge…AT ALL. I charged the light overnight and that gave me a little less than an hour of light. Twice. Not worth the headache. The 16" version is Perfect for dart board illumination. Easy to install and easy to operate. It is mounted on my lanai, so I needed something that was relatively easy to take down in the event of rain. The light itself is magnetic and simply grabs onto the bracket, making it easy to remove. It also comes with a remote that controls the type of light as well as intensity. 13"-inch version is a little too small for a dart board but would work well for smaller pictures. Don't buy it for the long term. Usually, people expect "planned obsolesce," the notion that anything manufactured eventually has an "end of life" to happen for much longer. I'd say most consumers expect manufactured goods to last. I bought these in April 2023, and here we are in March 2024, and they're completely dead. They don't recharge. So because I can't get my money back, I am writing a transparent review so that you don't have to make the bad decision I did--which was to get them. Don't if you want it to last more than a year. For the price, this is a great library or art light. For me, using the light 6 hours a day, one full charge lasts three days. I caved and started keeping it connect via USB since I'm using it as ambient desk lighting. I couldn't see this as a long-term solution for gallery or library lighting. Additionally, the remote is mediocre in responsiveness - specifically the dimming function. You really gotta mash those buttons for off and on. Having the timer is great though, considering the poor battery life. If you can leave it hardwired and don't fiddle often with the settings, I very much recommend this. If you need this to be wireless or change the dimmer or warmth frequently, you're gonna get frustrated enough to come and write a product review. ... show more
