  • FAMILY TRIVIA GAME: JFKs assassination, The Salem Witch Trials, the last Crusade... Do you know in which order these events unfolded in history? If not, nows your chance in Timeline Events. Each card has a different event on it, and on the opposite side of the card is the date in history that it occurred. It's up to you to figure out when each even takes place.
  • FUN EDUCATIONAL GAME: Players start with one randomly drawn card in the middle of the table to form the timeline. On your turn, you place a card before or after it depending on when you think this happened. Leave the card in place if you are correct or discard it and draw a new one if youre wrong. The first player to get rid of all their cards wins!
  • INNOVATIVE GAMEPLAY: Players take turns placing a card from their hand in a row on the table. After placing the card, the player reveals the date on it. If the card was placed correctly with the date in chronological order with all other cards on the table, the card stays in place; otherwise the card is removed from play and the player takes another card from the deck.
  • FUN FOR ALL AGES: Innovative gameplay makes learning about a specific topic in the past easy, enjoyably competitive, and highly replayable. This game is perfectly compatible with other Timeline titles for intriguing and challenging combinations. Brand new packaging is eco-friendly and perfect for travel.
  • NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND AVERAGE PLAYTIME: This fun family game is made for 2 to 6 players and is suitable for ages 8 and older. Average playtime is approximately 15 minutes.

  • Fun game! Works with all other Timeline game versions. Flexible number of players.
Style: Timeline Events
I got this game to add to our collection of fun and easy party board games. It is a very simple premise that gets more difficult the longer you play. Players are dealt a number of "event" cards with the year of the event on the back (hidden from their view). There is an initial reference event card laid on the table, with the year of the event shown. On each player's turn, they have to place one of their cards on the table in the appropriate order in the timeline. Once they have placed their card where they think it belongs, the year of that event is revealed (the card is flipped over.) If their guess was correct, the card remains in place, and play advances to the next player. If they are wrong, the card is removed, and the player has to replace it with a new card to their hand, and play advances to the next player. Play continues until on person has accurately placed all of their cards in the timeline. The game gets more difficult the longer you play as the "gaps" in the timeline get smaller and smaller, and your guesses require more accuracy. It is very flexible as to the number of players, and you can mix and match cards from multiple Timeline game versions to expand the subject matter, etc. The game decks are physically small and contained neatly in a metal tin that is perfect for bringing on trips or taking to a friends house. The only negative I could possibly see is that if you play often enough, you are more likely to remember the dates of the events, which might make replays slightly less fun. That said, you are learning history, so totally worth it, in my book! This game will be more difficult for kids who don't know history, but again, is a fun way to learn! ... show more

  • Very fun
Style: Timeline Events
Easy to learn and educational. Only downside is that you can memorize the cards after playing a few times, which makes the game less fun.

  • Fun for the whole family. I'd recommend ages 8+
Style: Timeline Events
Both 67 year old grandpa and 8 yr old granddaughter - who aren't game people like this game. It is very easy to learn and everyone enjoys playing together. We've combined it with other timeline canisters and they work together quite well.

  • Perfect family game
Style: Timeline Events
Everyone from my 13 year old to 81 year old love playing this together. Some of the categories of events (pop/ modern 'culture') are difficult for the 13 and 81 year old, but historical events generally ok.

  • Great game! Fun, educational, portable.
Style: Timeline Events
Nice package, fun information on the cards, lead to good conversations with family and friends when we play. (“Were you alive when they signed the Declaration of Independence?” “No. No I wasn’t.”) Easy to learn, and travels well. We’ve played at the airport and on the plane. Also, can combine with other decks for additional challenge. Recommend! ... show more
