  • Great boots. Much better than the expensive Red Wings I have. Well built and very durable.
Size: 10.5 Color: Brown: Brown
Updated June 2023: It's been 3 years and 4 months since I got these Timberland Pro boots and I'm happy to report that they are still going strong. I work construction and wear them almost every day. I use Odor Eaters work boot insoles which I change every 3 months + another soft foam insole + the original insole and they are very comfortable. I got the boot a half size larger so it fits well with the extra insoles and I've never had blisters even when roofing. Roofing can be torture to your feet (and boots) because you are working on a slope so there are constant lateral forces on the bottoms of your feet. While the soles have worn some they are by no means worn out. The leather is still in very good shape other than a gouge on the toe of the right boot. It's just cosmetic as no water gets in through it. The stitching is top notch no rips or pulled out stitches. I figure that I'll get another 3 years or more from these boots. I did have a lace break and in a pinch I superglued it. I planned on getting new laces but haven't because I'm cheap and lace works fine. Superglue also works good on shoelace tips that are fraying. I treated the boots once with Never Wet for boots. I was expecting that water would bead up and roll off "like water off a ducks back", but it didn't really bead up although water doesn't really soak in. I would also like to note that I previously purchased a pair of these boots that were slightly too small. I wore them for a while but a couple of times after jamming my toes jumping down I got these a half size bigger. So I tossed them in the garage and planned to give them to Goodwill. Of course I forgot until about a year ago when I ran across them all dusty in the garage. Oddly the heals had deteriorated and were soft and crumbly. Not the bottom sole, just the foamy rubber rubber above it. I have read many reviews about this being a problem with Timberline boots. But this appears that Timberline has remedied the problem as my current pair has lasted a long time. Older review: Got a good deal on the through Amazon Warehouse. The description said there were minor blemishes but I couldn't find any. I'd just seen a pair someone was selling on Craigslist for $80 in slightly used condition. I paid $60 for these and they are new. They look new, smell new, and fit great. Some days I get home burned out and I've fallen asleep with these on. Just like a pair of slippers! Well okay that may be a little excessive. Just call it the Trump effect... The boots are great though no bovine doo key here... umm well I gotta watch what I say or I get an email from Amazon saying I was bad and violated someone in their department that looks for violations. They should put a list out of the words they allow cuz really it wasn't that bad. Did I mention the boots are great? ... show more

  • Pleasantly Pleased
Size: 15 Color: Brown: Brown
These are actually nicer than I expected. Love that the hardware is metal and not plastic to decrease potential breakage. The elastic material connecting the tongue to the boot does a great job of keeping water out if that puddle turns out to be deeper than you expected. Nice and open toe for comfort. Especially on the longer hikes. Very durable. And not heavy! Weather hiking or working, my feet stay warm, dry and comfortable. Well worth it!!! ... show more

  • They're okay
Size: 11 Color: Brown: Brown
They look good, function as they should, and hurt for a while just like everyone else is saying. I'm not too sure about the quality of the boots due to the lining Inside right up on the heel going up a bit has completely worn out. Constantly rubs up on my heels uncomfortably. I've had them for almost a month now and am honestly surprised with that specific spot wearing down so quickly. I'll try to remedy that myself but besides that, the boots are really comfortable after the break in period. Due watch out for the rubber collar around the ankle, that shit will hurt if you don't wear the right types of socks. ... show more

  • Stylin & profiling, yet hella comfortable
Size: 13 Color: Wheat
I got these boots for my son. He is around 6'2 and I got a 12.5 in size. They fit him perfect and are definitely true to size. They provide so much more comfort for him on a long work day on his feet and he had no complaints and he loves them. It took a little longer than expected on shipping but all in all I am a happy customer and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, high-quality, and very stylish pair of boots. ... show more

  • For regular timberland classic boots I had to go down 1 full size to get a good fit without my heel slipping and excessive room
Size: 10 Color: Brown: Brown
Timberland sizing is always a mystery to me. Depends on the type of boots you buy from them, sizing are all over the map. For regular timberland classic boots I had to go down 1 full size to get a good fit without my heel slipping and excessive room in the toe box. That's what I was planning to go with before I bought this steel toe boot, thank god I read the reviews on them. 1. Sizing: For this boot, you really want to go to your normal true size. Now, everyone has a different opinion on what their true size is, the way I determined mine was that there is no heel slippage, and I have enough room in the toe box that my toes are not right up against the end of toe box. For most Nike/Adidas/Jordans, I am a size 10, and they typically fit me just as I described above. For this pair of timberland, I went with a size 10 with normal width. The fit was good, but not perfect. Due to the steel toe, the toe box are narrower, and shorter then typical Timberland, and since it's a work boot, the insole seems to be thicker and provide better support than regular Timberlands (i'm comparing it to Timberland classic 6 inch boot). All that translate to a smaller fit when compare to a Timberland classic 6 inch boot. So when I went true to size, it felt good. Only complain is that the heel of the boot is wider so I do have some heel slippage, but this was easily remedied by thicker socks or socks with heel padding. 2. comfort: I bought this mainly to work in a laboratory condition where there are heavy machinery, so I don't walk in them all day long. However, I did notice that the support was excellent and my feet ain't tired at end of the day despite the fact that this pair of boots is HEAVY! 3. lacing: I like to provide some comment on lacing. It's hard to to tie this pair of boot up "snug." What I do I mean by snug? Well, typically when I lace up a boot, I like to make sure I felt a little bit of pressure from lacing it up from the top of my foot up to where I tie a knot. However, because of the steel toe and it being a very stiff boot, I can hardly feel any pressure on top of my foot when I lace it up. But since my foot isn't moving around in the boot, I was ok with it. You can lace the top of the boot tight once you get past your ankle though, the top of the boots does have more give to them where you can lace it up tight if needed. 4. Overall: Great boot, on the heavy side, but provided great support. Durability review will come later. ... show more
