The first time I bought this stuff I was amazed at how effective it was. if you like something with a strong menthol smell , that tingles and upon application and has a big cooling sensation this is great stuff. The reason I said “ I love it most of the time” is because not all batches are created equal unfortunately. I have repurchased it a few times now and this one is not at strong as the last. The lasting power is not there not even the smell is that strong. If they were all like the first jar I had received I would say 5 out of 5. Whenever i’m starting to feel nauseous in the car i put a little bit of this under the tip of my nose and it helps me feel so much better within 5 mins (like i’m not going to throw up). Since Tiger balm helps so much with migraines, impressive! Make sure to get the white one. I have terrible migraines since I was a kid and have tried all treatment, this balm helps a lot during onset migraines, unfortunately pain relief doesn’t last long enough for me but still a 5 stars. The scent is pretty strong but very pleasant « cooling » sensation which seems to help with pain, just ensure to not put any balm near the eyes as it’s pretty strong and would definitely get your eyes watery. ... show more

I have the red and white versions. The red smells like apple pie and goes from hot to cold over and over. And stains everything. The white smells like a combination of Dr. Pepper and mint, but weaker, its a weird smell but its not peppermint like someone said. Its white so it doesn't stain anything, and you won't look orange there. This one is only cold, no real heat. Can't say it works that well though. I probably wouldn't get it again, but there is so much and you need so little, it will probably last forever. It would be nice if it was totally scentless. ... show more

Still works, but the scent was...different. It also seemed as if these jars had been stored in high heat at one point because the gel had set sideways - going up one side of the jar and against the lid. My husband had already opened one package and was using it so we opted to keep the two jars purchased. A teensy bit under the nostrils can help clear a stuffy head. Primarily, though, I apply it to sore muscles. Not the easiest stuff to wash off hands, which is true of many creams and ointments. Keep away from eyes. Personally, I love the smell o' this stuff way more than some of the pain relieving muscle rubs. There is a red version made that is good, too, but that one can stain clothing. With the white, you might get a grease stain but not color. It's really meant for your pajama or sweats downtime vs. your best clothing. ... show more
