The Black Pro Mist offers all the benefits of the Pro Mist filter in a more subtle form. With this filter, highlight flares are controlled, contrast is lowered, but with less lightening of shadows for a more delicate effect and it also creates a soft light "pastel" effect. This is a very delicate effect with contained highlight flare. This Hollywood/FX filters were originally designed for the TV and Motion Picture industry, but are now available to all photographers and videographers.

I use this filter with a Canon AE-1 Program, and it works as intended. For a bit less than a Moment Cinebloom filter that I use on my Mamiya RB67, it gets the job done. The only complaint I'd have is with occasional reflections between the filter and front lens element when the light hits at a certain angle. This has never happened once with my Cinebloom Filter. Attached are 3 images shot on film from the same roll on the same night. First two look as intended, but the third photo highlights the reflections. That being said, I was able to use Lightroom Generative AI removal brush to correct it. Still 5/5, would recommend.
