Just took mine out of the box and set it up. I LOVE the shade!!! When not yet lit up, the colors are exactly as pictured on the website. In response to the review that said hers came out more olive toned, I dare say that may be because of the bulbs used. I used standard 60 watt bulbs and the blues DO look more olive when lit. I am going to buy some clear 60 watt bulbs and see if that makes a difference. I hope so. Everything else about the shade is stellar. This is one of the closest replicas to actually Louis Tiffany lamps that I've seen anywhere near this price range. So many lamps that you see do not have the intricacy of detail that is typical of Louis Tiffany Studio's design. So many "Tiffany" lamps on the market are merely "stained glass" lamps with no genuine pizazz. This one TOTALLY ROCKS. *****A MILLION thank you's to the reviewer who advised to be VERY CAREFUL when pulling the shade out of the box because it is all too easy to break the edges of the delicate petals around the bottom edge of the shade. Having said this, the lamp overall is adequately sturdy. The reason I did not give it five stars is because the base is cheaply made. It is not the true metal base that comes with even Dale Tiffany level of Tiffany style replicas. Having said this, one could never tell until one actual picks up the base or looked very closely. As long as you like what you see on the website and feel inclined to make the purchase, I would recommend purchasing this lamp. FYI, I had requested that the packaging conceal the contents but it still said what the item was all of over it--just in case you are sending it as a gift. I am a Louis Tiffany fanatic and have quite a few Tiffany style lamps. I do feel that the brand Dale Tiffany is a better brand and worth the extra cost. But then it also depends on what design and colors you prefer. Thanks to all the folks who wrote reviews and even posted pics. The info was INVALUABLE. ****************BULB UPDATE****************** I just put in different bulbs and it DID make a difference. It is still not AS blue as the website, but much improved. The blue area is definitely MORE blueish that before. The leaves above the roses are now lime green instead of olive green. Plus the color of the flowers in between the roses have a better pinkish/blueish/lavender hue. The bulbs I put in are: GE crystal clear General Purpose Halogen Bulbs Their actual wattage is 53 watts thus still within the guidelines of the recommended max of 60 watts. Their incandescent wattage is 75 watts. The idea that they are crystal clear is what makes most of the difference. ... show more
