They show the vest in camouflage. I purchased the black one so I'm guessing the camouflage one is the same material. I purchased it for bow hunting on the cold days for long sits. Everytime I move all I hear is the vest. It's like a noisy mattress. I will be passing this vest onto the kids and looking for a quieter alternative. Does seem to heat as expected though. I purchased this for hunting and it appears to be just what I needed for the cold Northern woods. When I opened the box the battery came on. I had to read the insert to find out that any motion brings the battery to life. I do not believe that this puts a strain on the battery life but time will tell... One of the disappointing aspects to this unit is the lack of instructions. One small piece of paper with a little instruction on the battery indicates there is a manual... No manual to be found but between my wife's mental ability and my own, we were able to figure out what was needed. I hope this thing continues to work. ... show more

It suits my needs. It fits better than an XL should, but it fits me fine. I wanted a little more room with an XL, so I could wear thicker layers under it. Not happening. I wear it on cool days, and the heater keeps my internal organs from causing the rest of my body to feel cold. The battery pack is heavier than expected and takes a long time to charge. Well, this is obviously not designed by a hunter! But it can keep ya warm. -I need to buy an extra battery because the heating isn’t noticeable unless it’s on full strength, then it only lasts a couple hours. -The light on the button is quite hilarious because you know if you’re hunting at dusk, the last thing you want to do is advertise your presence with a light. Even inside another jacket, it can show through. -Make sure to unplug the battery from the connection before stuffing it in a backpack. The heat is actuated by holding down the button for 3 seconds so it’s quite easy to accidentally turn it on in a pack! All that being said, it’s decent, and comfy for the price, and the heat is great for when you are sitting without moving for hours. ... show more
