The sweater is just as described - a lightweight long sleeve sweater. It is perfect for wearing over a tank or tshirt and possibly a lightweight long sleeve shirt or sweater. It is a very pretty color. Size seems to be right though the sleeves are a little long. I just roll up the cuffs and it is fine. The only other issue would be if you are planning to button/unbutton this often. When layering, I do not button the sweater. With this sweater, the button holes are not as sealed/uniformed in the sewing. I'm afraid if buttoned often, they would begin to fray.
