This is the wheel i started with, and i use it for PC racing and truck simulators, and it is really nice, the feedback feels great (although it does knock stuff off my desk lol) and the force the wheel applies makes racing feel so fun my only complaint is the price, it doesnt effect my opinion, but i would wait and save for a big sale going on before buying this ... show more

I had doubts when I bought this but now that I have it, it is a great device for all racing games. Being able to drive recklessly but still safely is something everyone should experience. The force feedback isn't the best compared to the nicer brands but for this price range, I do love it. My only complaint is it doesn't fit on all tables/desks. I bought this one knowing for the price it had one of the biggest desk clamps but my desk is still do big even though it isn't that big. Lastly, I would recommend a racing chair/mount. I don't have one but I have used one before and the experience is once again leveled up as it is more stable and even more realism. ... show more

    • Convoluted Connection to PS4 - LOUSY Support!

Ordered the T248 for PS5/PS4. According to the instructions, it's absurdly easy to connect to a PS4 - connect 3 cables to the wheel, secure the wheel to a table, connect the USB cable to the PS4, connect the power, and boom- you're ready to go. However, when powered on, as it's supposed to, the wheel turned to it's limits right and left and then centered itself - but none of the buttons worked. The PS4 didn't recognize the wheel. The LED display on the wheel says "PC". Say what? I ordered the Thrustmaster for PlayStation - the box says "For PS5/PS4" - and the default is PC? The mode button on the wheel allows you to change to PS4, but the PS4 still doesn't recognize the wheel. I powered it off and on again - still won't connect to the PS4. Called the support number - they were closed (on Sunday). So I went to the support website. The support website only has the same information as the user manual, with no info on troubleshooting. I went on the web to see what I could find. The only thing I could find is people who were trying to connect to a PC said you needed to update the firmware, so I gave that a try. To update the firmware, even for a PS4, you must connect to a PC. The documentation provided by Thrustmaster on how to do this is severely lacking. It says to connect to the Thrustmaster "App". No Thrustmaster App in the app store. Turns out you download the drivers for Thrustmaster and the "app" is embedded with the drivers. Why don't they say that in the support documentation? Updated the firmware and now it will connect to the PS4. Installed the wheel temporarily on a table to test if everything works -it does! On Monday, mounted the the Thrustmaster "permantly" on my sim cockpit and powered up the Thrustmaster - it doesn't connect to the PS4! Arrrrgh! Called support number listed in the user manual - a message on the number said "we've changed the number to provide better support" (I'll believe that when I see it!). It is from area code 929 which is New York. I'm returning this $400 piece of JUNK! ... show more

This is a great wheel once you learn the features and have an understanding of how they can enhance your gameplay. A bit of a learning curve getting used to the various settings. This is one of the better gaming wheels out there. I have always trusted Thurstmaster to consider a player's needs. Still not really clear on what the E-1 to E-4 settings are for, but have viewed some videos and they apparently work with racing games. More information on that would be helpful. The wheel gives you a realistic feel when driving with superb feedback. The wheel is a little small but it works well. ... show more
