Wrap a few turns with electric tape on your gear stick thread to keep tight if necessary. 3. Install the matching threaded adapter on the shifting stick. 4. Screw the stick shift handle on the shifting rod with small screws by the Allen key and tighten all up. TIPS: Make sure your original stick shifter removable. Not suitable for the original car shifter with its own irremovable lock/function button. For manual transmissions: Not suitable for the reverse gear of original car shifter needed to lift up. For automatic transmissions: Cannot be installed for those cars with the reverse gear next to the 1st gear. I didn't see the adapters at first because I was so excited but the adapters are not that bad. The adapter doesnt have a thread on the inside, so be careful when you put it on because you only have one chance. But once its on its pretty solid. I have an automatic but I like to drive in the manual mode and pretend that its a sequential gearbox 😆 the height of this knob is perfect for doing that! ... show more

Needed it overnighted from Japan. Race Wars was just a couple days away and Hector’s crew was running Spoon engines with t66 turbos and NOS. I knew I couldn’t lose again… installed the plastic sleeve and spun the new knob on tight. Hooked up the laptop and hit the streets. First red light I hit, some kid wanted to go to gapplebees. Red, yellow…. Green. Squealing tires off the line, 2nd gear shift was flawless. This knob is really putting in work. If you're like me and you want a cheap shift knob that'll work, this is it. Took me 5 minutes in total to unscrew my OEM shift knob, screw this one on with the proper screw link, and it works great. The increased length and weight just make shifting so much easier. Shoulda bought this earlier!
