My son has gotten in trouble at school recently so I got him a couple workbooks and this one is his favorite. Seems to be helping him!

  • Excellent book that kids will like
My kids have really enjoyed this book, which I was actually surprised about. I didn't think they would get into it as much as they did. My only complaint (and reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I feel that they text size (and perhaps font type) should have been a little larger being that kids are more apt to read a larger font than adults read. ... show more

  • Great for young kids
I wish I had found this book years ago. It explains so much not lint for my child but for me as well. It is geared toward the younger kids but has helped my child identify triggers, ways to refocus, empathy and gives tips on school and home life.

  • This is not only a helpful workbook for kids with ADHD, its a great communication and bonding tool
I absolutely love this workbook. My 10 year old suffers from ADHD, and unfortunately I do as well so it is harder for me to read through ADHD books for adults to figure out how I can help him. The book starts with an explanation of what ADHD is and what it means, all written in a language that kids really understand. It is a very positive explanation of ADHD so kids don't feel like they are dumb or there is something bad about this. It also goes into the types of ADHD with some characteristics of each type and a cute nickname for each type. I had fun talking through them with my son- I compared it to the different houses of Harry Potter- which house is he in? We then started into the activities which included a checklist of ADHD attributes. It got my son to really open up to me and talk through some of the difficulties that he goes through and also feel like he is not alone in this. Some of the difficulties he was having made him feel like a failure. Now he knows that millions of kids have this and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Normally, my conversations with my 10 year old are just about how his day was and we cover really surface level topics. This book has enabled me to dig down deeper with my child to have more meaningful conversations and bond with him. I highly recommend this book, in fact I can't recommend it enough. If you have a child with ADHD, buy this book! ... show more

  • My 10 Year Old LOVES this book
I got this book for my daughter to use as a tool for her ADHD/ADD and Anxiety combined, particularly in school where she has the most issues. I must say it is beautifully illustrated, written and published. The language is easy to understand and my 5th grader had no problem navigating the book by herself. This is about the 3rd workbook I brought of the 100s I researched and it has by far been the best. I love the positive and empowering tone of the book. The activities engage the child, builds understanding, skills, self awareness and consciousness. I left in on kitchen counter and by the time I went to tell my daughter about it she had already picked it up, looked through it and was looking forward to working on it. We have done some pages together but she is able to self guide and direct herself. If she is in school and struggling she finds the section related to her current issue and either completes the pages or reviews them. It has helped her focus better just in that she wants to get her class work done so that she can use the free time to work on the Workbook. She has already asked for a second one to refill once she complete this one. To be honest as an adult the struggle with ADHD/ADD combined I almost want to get a copy for myself. I would recommend this book to anyone that ha a child with ADHD or ADD, especially if that child is struggling with the self image from it. This book will definitely empower them. ... show more
