These were the 5th pair of boots I ordered and didn’t hold much hope but man I am so happy I was wrong! They really are a nice boot. They feel great and walking in them feels good and natural. Now about the string on the back… I cut them out … they do not help hold the boot up any better IMO … there is still the elastic band going around it and even after walking in them they stay up pretty good. Most boots I have to add a little tape inside of it anyway because my legs are a little smaller than the average woman. I don’t have very big thighs and they still work and look great!!! I got the rounded toe, three inch boot. They fit so much better than the pointed toe and have more room in the toe box. I wear a 7 1/2 and ordered an 8 so I could add my shoe inserts for added comfort but even without the inserts they are a comfortable shoe to walk in. These boots are super cute and fit as expected . I normally wear an 8 and usually have no issues with the fit is shoes and boots . I also have no issue with calf size in boots and these fit perfect. If you require a wider boot shaft these may be tight. They are stretchy though. They fit perfect in me. Great color too . I wore these too a a fall foliage festival and walk for hours on them. This is a comfortable and beautiful pair of boots but sadly I had to return because it did not satay up over my knees. It kept slouching down because the elasticity is not stony around the top. There's no way I could wear these without jeans so that sucks but they're so cute with them on! Usually finding over the knee boots are difficult. I have thick thighs and Calves. These boots fit over my knees with ease and even went over a pair of sweats which means I can wear them with jeans!!!! Definitely a great boot with stretch and looks great. These boots are beautiful. Doesn’t look cheap like most boots do this price. I have wide feet and ordered a half size up. Usually an 8.5, got a 9. They fit perfectly! The taupe color in the picture differs just a little in person. It’s more of a pinkish taupe. Still really pretty. I think I’m going to order the black ones next! ... show more
