    • Comparison to Leuchtturm

I have used Leuchtturm journals for the past 4 years for bullet journaling (I prefer the dotted one). I use my bullet journals for work/personal business, but I use a separate journal for personal thoughts and ideas. I needed a new personal journal so I bought this Lemome journal. I thought I'd share some differences and why I really like this journal for personal use, but the Leuchtturm for business use. The Leuchtturm is a perfect journal for me for work because I need it for list management, calendar reminders, and for taking notes on ideas and market events. I also use it for personal "business", like calling utilities or a repairman. The weight of the paper is lighter than the Lemome, which I think works better for regular use all day long. The pages are easier to flip through, which I do a lot moving from lists to notes and back. Leuchturrm's dual page marker ribbons is a must have for business use. I keep long term lists and login info with one of them and the other is for current bookmarking. Another must have for me is having page numbers already printed on each page, which all Leuchturrm journals have, but the Lemome does not. Finally, the Leuchturrm is thinner than the Lemome (1/2" vs 13/16"), which also makes it nicer to carry around, especially if you have other paperwork in tow. I have found the Lemome to be perfect for personal use because it has thick paper that is light yellow-ish in color with light lines (but no page numbers). This type of paper is nice for occasional writing and for drawing, which I do when taking notes on ideas or projects. The best feature about the Lemome is that it truly lies flat. The stitched, heavy duty binding allows me to lay the journal completely flat across the two open pages. I am able to draw larger figures across both pages with the Lemome, which I cannot do with the Leuchturrm. The Leuchturrm lies reasonably flat, but there is a bump where the pages come together (like a book). The Leuchturrm lies flat across the pages with no bump. The Leuchturrm also has a thick, hard cover with an elastic pen loop. Again, two things perfect for personal use, but not what I want for business use. I like the thinner, lighter feel of the Leuchturrm for work since I carry it around a lot, but I prefer the heavy cover of the Lemome and the handy pen loop for jotting down personal thoughts (which are typically sporadic in nature). One page-marking ribbon is also all I need for personal use. Bottom line...both are great journals. They are very different though, so pick the one that fits with your own needs. Leuchturrm: Lighter weight paper, cover, and binding. Has dual ribbons and numbered pages. Thinner. Lemome: Heavier paper, cover and overall weight.     • Beautiful Journal - I highly recommend

I was needing a new journal and wasn't sure what kind I wanted, what paper weight, etc. I scoured r/journaling on Reddit and many redditors recommended this brand. They said the weight of the paper is beautiful, the journals lay flat (very important to me), the journals hold up very well, and they are also extremely affordable. When I scouted these journals out here on Amazon, I was surprised. They are indeed very beautiful. I have had my new journal for several days now, but have only just begun to write in it. The pages are nice and thick, the lines are the perfect distance apart, and I am having no problems with ghosting from my Staedtler pens I use to write with. I purchased the cork covered journal and it is just gorgeous. The journal feels supple and pliable, and unlikely to crack or splint. The cork spine has a little give to it when you open it, so it doesn't feel like it'll have problems down the road with coming apart. There is also a pocket in the back cover for putting small notes or other such things, if you wish, which I always think is a very thoughtful addition to any journal. One of my favorite parts, though, is that these journals include a pen holder on the side. Thank goodness for that. All in all, this is a wonderful journal and I expect I will be purchasing many more from Lemome in the future. ... show more
