  • Obviously built to be a long-term investment.
I ended up with the Ryzen 3700/RTX 3070 build at a seriously amazing price right before the shortages quintupled the price of an RTX 3070. PRO: - This system is a QA beast. So, let me attest that Thermaltake's build quality on my system is the best I've seen of any prebuilt desktop in my 30 years of owning PCs. None of the components were loose or janky, and I was able to pull the packing materials away from the system with no debris on the system. - Out of the box, this system uses nowhere near the 650W the PSU is capable of pulling. That plus the PSU's gold rating has protected everything during two outages thus far. I still intend to buy a UPS, but knowing Thermaltake went above and beyond for the PSU says Thermaltake intends these machines to be long-term investments for every customer. - The GIGABYTE RTX 3070 OC 8G is one of the most reliable and finely tuned 30-series cards on the market. It's factory OC'd to 1815Mhz and can easily be OC/UV to that performance at .875v. Afterburner has full support for unlocking, custom fan curves, limits, and more. CON: - The open case has advantages and disadvantages. If you live in a clean house, the open design is perfect. If you live in a house where people think "dust on the table" is a remix of the song "Dust in the Wind," you'll need to use an air blower every month or so. That said, I have had NO issues with performance or static electricity risking components. Thermaltake did an insanely good job making sure this build doesn't have shortage risks from a little dust buildup. - The lack of accessories for this case is frustrating. It's a modular case, but I'd have to buy a whole separate tower to get things like the extra glass panels to fit to the sides. This is leading me to want to replace the case altogether for something more traditional. Lastly, THINGS I WISH WERE INCLUDED: - Information on installing full liquid cooling. I would love for a Thermaltake-approved guide on what to buy from them to replace the RTX fans and the CPU liquid cooling with a full liquid cooling setup. - Recommended accessories. I'd like a list of suggested self-upgrades for my system. If I want to add a second NVMe, what would Thermaltake recommend? Would Thermaltake recommend additional RAM? What are some recommendations I can have that give me something fun to look forward to with this system? This is an investment, right? How can Thermaltake help me evolve this system over time using new components or other products in the Thermaltake shop? - I would pay big big bucks for Thermaltake to give me a detailed video walking through the AORUS B550 BIOS settings, how to update the RTX 3070 BIOS, any nifty features or advanced tips. Stuff that's just between Thermaltake and its customers. Everyone who buys Razer gets this "club" treatment, and I want to be in the Thermaltake Club. ... show more

  • JUNK!!!!!
Size: 5600X | 3070
Complete trash. Had two “pop” within the day of starting them up and the PC would never turn back on. Called to return the first PC and get a refund and the insisted on just replacing the item and basically told us to trash the non-working one bc they were NOT going to pick it back up. So we did just that and had faith that it was just a fluke and the new PC would work. WRONG!!!!! What do you know the replacement also only worked for less than 24 hours and went “POP” and never turned back on. Luckily it didn’t cause our house to burn down and us be out more than 1,600$! Completely disappointed with Amazon as well for not handling our refund in a good manor. We didn’t have the crate that the product came in and they refused to send us a new one to pick up the non-working item. They also said we couldn’t get a refund until they received the broken PC back. But they were not willing to send anything to be able to ship it back to them. As the customer I do not think I should be out any more money to go and purchase a crate to ship the item back out. Nor should I be out a longer amount of time to wait on my refund just to be able to purchase an ACTUAL WORKING PC. Like I said I’m VERY disappointed that we as loyal Amazon prime customers were treated so poorly in this situation. I just want a working computer!!! At this point I’d take a gift card or credit to Amazon so that I can order a different WORKING PC. I just want them to come get this junk from my house and give me my money so I can purchase another PC from them just clearly not this brand!!! but as of right now I’m out 1,600$ roughly and still do not have a computer!!!!!!!!!!! ... show more

  • Stunning looking gaming rig.
I was in high school in the 90’s and was one of a handful who was into computer gaming. Built my first machine before I was an adult. I left the pc master race for console gaming for a couple decades and this is my return, despite getting a PS5 on day 1. We’ve come a long way. In February 2021, this was a nice value for a machine with a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB GAMING OC inside. In fact, the price jumped $300 after I bought it (and I paid approx $400 over retail). Aesthetically, well, you are reading this review because you saw it and said “wow”. They pack this guy like they are shipping their firstborn child. Solid box, pc bolted to a metal plate on the box, and packing foam was well placed. Check all your connections, some may come slightly unseated as you get everything unpacked. Truly “turnkey”. Was up and running playing Crusader Kings 3 via Steam in about 15-20 minutes. Most of that was getting machine unbolted and the tempered glass off and back on to remove packing foam. Builder saved a Superposition benchmark test result on the desktop. I ran it and got same result. Nice to see they checked it over for quality control. Temps stay cool. Everything runs smooth with one glaring exception. The motherboard seems to be a weak spot. You’re going to be irritated dealing with the RGB side of things and have had a couple USB pains. Issues: -RGBFusion 2.0. Good luck consistently seeing all components when you boot it up. Eventually, you may get everything looking how you want it. -50% of the time, Toughram abandons my RGB setting and feels like being rainbow for a day. -Keyboard/mouse. Have updates. Steelseries Apex 7 and Rival 3. Random loss of USB recognition. Roughly 3-4 times I’ve had to unplug and try a different port. ... show more
