  • Price to performance
So I'm into cpu overclocking and I needed a much better cpu heatsink enter Thermalright Peerless Assassin first things first the the product was packaged very well opon opening the box your met with your fans heat sink and mounting hardware along with the manual Installation was a breeze for am4 but you do need a slimmer screw driver when your going to mount the heatsink everything you need was included including the splitters to connect both fans to one header.Opon powering on your met with nice RGB lighting that can be changed to several other lighting modes and colors. Finally performance this cooler is quite good although it's quite overkill for my Ryzen 1600 in my test bench I set the cpu to 4ghz 1.42 volts and ran stress testing for about 3 hours max temps were 71C at 100% load and a tdp of 130 watts overall great cooler for the price ... show more

  • Reasonable pricing - does the job - but concerned
The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 fans were installed easily. They work well with RGB fusion and do all the things you expect from an ARGB lighting system. They are quiet at normal processing actions but do become a little noisy when the processor hits 60 degrees C or more. 72-74 db. Normal db determined by my internal microphone is 62db. I do have an issue with one of the six fans I purchased. As you can see in the photo one set of the LEDs has stopped working. I will give it more time to see how the rest of them do. I can change all the colors, pulse them, match them with music, etc. Also the processor system fans, the GSKILL ram, my recent TForce SSD sync together with the Thermalright fans. I am pleased with them save the one little caveat of the one with some failed LEDs on it. ... show more

  • CPU temps are down
Apart from looking great, I’m using a 2014 i7, which is a very warm CPU, and the temps with my old case and the temps when gaming were around 75c and the back of the PC was always warm to the touch. Now I game at around 45-50c, especially after a case upgrade (TD500 mesh) and I don’t feel any of the chair coming out to even be particularly warm. Looks good and does it’s job. ... show more

  • Great CPU cooler at an amazing price
This is probably one of the top air coolers available especially in this price range. I purchased the white RGB model with thr front plates (non SE). NOTE: If you're using this in a ITX form factor then its important to know that the nickel contact plate is slightly off center so if you dont have enough clearance try rotating 180 degrees. I'm using it with AMD 7800X3D in a Fractal Torrent Nano with idle temp in low 30s and mid 60s under heavy load. I rearranged the fan in the back of the case, so my RGB RAM still shows. The fan noise is hardly noticeable even under heavy load, in ambient noise. Update: Taking 2 stars off.. 2 months later, one of the fans have started going bad. May be bad bearing but has a loud whine everytime it speeds up. I'm thinking to take it out completely and have a single fan cool the CPU.. ... show more

  • Make sure you have your fans on correctly! and tight!
I screwed up and mounted them incorrectly which resulted in a lot of fan noise. Once I put them on correctly, they didn't make any annoying noise, just a typical whoosh sound that wasn't unpleasant. I have the fans set to performance in the BIOS and I'll occasionally hear them ramp but it's not bad at all. I have tested them at full on speed and it's very reasonable. I normally use only Noctua fans + the NH-D15, so that's what I'm comparing them to. I'm really happy with the purchase. I made this decision after a few reviews, but primarily Gamers Nexus. (NOTE: I know the airflow for that case in my pic isn't perfect. The wife focused on having it purdy so not exactly optimal, but at least the CPU cooler fans are blowing to the left with the leftmost case fan also blowing out in the same direction.) ... show more

  • Great cooling performance!
Doing a great job cooling my under volted Ryzen 9 5950X processor at stock settings. Chose to go air cooled because of past bad experiences with water cooling. Keeps Temps under 80 degrees under load in a well ventilated case with custom fan curves on gpu and this cooler. Cooler is large but you can move the fans around to compensate for memory clearances. Overall extremely happy with the looks and the performances of this cooler. Also the piece of mind I now have knowing there is no water inside my case around these expensive components. ... show more

  • Way better than 120 AIO!!
I used this to replace a 3 moth old corsair 120 AIO. My brand new system a ryzen 7 5700g was thermal throttling at any use state. I don't game at all! Contacted corsair and they said it's because I was using windows 11 devoper mode. Well I built another system a I7 11700k and thave a cheap Thermaltake almost intel stock type cooler on it and had absolutely no problem WITH the EXACT same operating system!! The installation instructions are ok just look at the pictures because there's a translation problem like usual and to get the screws started on the actual cooler to the cpu mount (after you swap stock mount) you need to push really hard. Like feels way too hard but man I went from 95° c to 30° c its crazy!! ... show more
