Description

The Therm-A-Rest NeoAir XLite Ultralight Inflatable Air Mattress for three- season backpacking, mountaineering, and camping is the ultimate minimalist’s expedition sleeping pad. Offering maximum warmth for the weight, it's designed specifically for adding a padded layer of warmth and insulation between sleeping bag and ground in alpine conditions. Baffled internal structure provides support and comfort in a 2. 5-inch inflated mattress, for a restful night in the backcountry. The Therm-A-Rest NeoAir XLite sleeping pad is perfect for lightweight expeditions thanks to its innovative tapered design and materials, which eliminate bulk, making it possible to pack the ground pad to the size of a one-liter water bottle. Available in two styles: Equipped with the Standard Valve, or equipped with the WingLock Valve which is able to inflate a pad three times faster than a standard valve thanks to a larger barrel and optional one-way inflation. Standard Valve models include stuff sack and repair kit for fixing punctures, and WingLock Valve models include a pump sack (for easier, breath-free pad inflation), a stuff sack and a repair kit. Made in the USA. Manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty.

  • Super light easy to inflate
Size: Regular - 20 x 72 Inches Style: WingLock Valve
Super light easy to inflate this is a good purchase it was worth the money. I have bought many mattress This is the best one by far . some people think it's crunchy make a lot of noise. I disagree. It doesn't make very much noise at all. It came with an air inflation bag which I appreciate no more dizzy spells huffing and puffing. It only takes about five bags of air to fill. The valve is new and improved. For ultralight backpacking it is the cats meow ! ... show more

  • No pack Bag
Size: Regular Wide - 25 x 72 Inches Style: WingLock Valve
Considering the price ($153) I expected at least some type of pack bag or carrier to put it in before it goes in in backpack. Picture showed what looked like a pack bag. Guess ya just let it unravel or tie it up with string...... again, I'm thinking for the money. Guessing, other less pricey would function just as well. ... show more

  • Quality backpacking sleep pad.
Size: Regular Wide - 25 x 72 Inches Style: WingLock Valve
Product inflates and deflates easily. Packs up small and has worked fine for my 3 - 4 day backpacking trips. Seems to have good support as I have slept comfortably.

  • Hands-down, the best camping mattress I've owned, works great in 3.5 seasons
Size: Large - 25 x 77 Inches Style: WingLock Valve
I've used quite a lot of camping mattresses over the last 3-4 decades, and the technology has continued to improve over the years. The Therm-a-Rest NeoAir is no exception. EXTREMELY lightweight, about the size of a Nalgene water bottle when packed down (including pump sack), and very easy to deploy and deflate. One of the biggest struggles with camping mattresses is getting them back down to their "factory-packed" size, so you can pack them back up as you head out to your next location. The NeoAir impressed me here because I didn't have to fight with it to pack it down again. You just pop the deflate release valve, roll most of the air out, unfold it again, and then roll it back again. Done. Super-easy, and your fellow campers wont' be waiting for you to pack your gear while they stand by getting attacked by mosquitos! The R-value of the mattress is noticeable if you have a decent 3-4 season bag on top of it. You'll immediately feel the warming from your back. I took this up the White Mountains to Crag Camp where every gram on your back matters, and did not regret packing it. I used a 0-degree bag on top of it and actually had to open the bag to cool down a bit, even when it was pretty cold at the top of the mountain. Because I was using a mummy style bag, I didn't have to worry about rolling off the mattress, but if your bag is square, you may need to make sure you adjust it so your bag doesn't slide off. There's a surface tension on top of the mattress that prevents sliding, but if you're a restless sleeper, you probably want to put one side against the tent wall or cabin wall to avoid shifting it from under you. That's not the fault of the mattress, just modifying your sleeping habits. Pumping the mattress was supremely simple with the "shnozzle" pump sack. Took about 3-4 sack fillings to get the mattress as firm as it could get where it wouldn't take any more air from the pump sack, even when putting my full weight on the bag. ... show more

  • It's worth taking the inflation bag with you.
Size: Regular - 20 x 72 Inches Style: WingLock Valve
This is a great high-quality sleeping pad. It definitely made a difference in comfort for fall backpacking trip with cold nights. It can be tucked into a hammock, but it will slide around some. It's the right size to be able to slide into a mummy bag sleeping pad pocket or into your sleeping bag if it's roomy enough, either of which would help if you plan to use it in a hammock. ... show more

  • Side sleeper
Size: Regular - 20 x 72 Inches Style: WingLock Valve
Bought this for my husband for a 6 day trip in the Sierra. This thing is awesome and so light! My husband is a side sleeper and complains a lot on backpacking trips - due to inability to get comfortable - if it were up to him, he would drag a memory foam mattress all 60 miles. LOL. He said the mattress wasn’t perfect, but I heard him snoring all night, most nights! I tried it for a few hours one night and it was nice. I wish it had side rails because I found myself falling off. ... show more

  • Comfortable and warm.
Size: Regular Wide - 25 x 72 Inches Style: WingLock Valve
Used this on a recent backpacking trip on the AT. It got down in the low 30's at night and this pad kept me comfortable and warm. The only downside for me was the sound, this pad is a little noisy when you roll around it.

  • 3 star durability, 5 star customer service
Size: Regular - 20 x 72 Inches Style: WingLock Valve
Most comfortable sleeping pad I've ever used, right up until the baffles started to fail. Once one baffle unstuck, the ones next to it followed suit every few days. The result was a large bulge in the shoulder area. (If the bulge had been at the head of the pad, I wouldn't have cared. Free pillow.) The pad had been used for about 100 nights and was less than a year old. I submitted a warranty enquiry on Cascade's website, and the auto-response email wasn't encouraging: "it could take up to twelve weeks to hear back." However, I heard from them the next day, supplied some extra information, and received a replacement less than a week later. ... show more
