Functions very similar to a jack-in-the box due to the fact that it needs to be continuously wound in order to play the music box inside. The inside of the box holds the mechanics, rendering it useless for putting anything into it. 😕

I got this for my mom on her 80th birthday. Everyone wanted to see the hurdy-gurdy. Now, my grandson and my kid (his mom) want one as well as me wanting one like it. LOL. This will be a great way to “bond us together”. I plan to get other tunes as well!

I don't know what I expected when I purchased this gift for my husband's grandmother but we both got a good laugh at it when it arrived. Yes it's small. But had I (and others) read the full description before buying, we would have known that. It's cute. It's fun and I'm sure his grandmother will enjoy it.
