This is an excellent quality, easy-to-hold workout journal with a hard, thick cover and premium paper that’s hard to tear. I tested the pages’ durability heartily while flipping through the pages to count each section. After I lost count (frustratingly) for the third time, I wasn’t exactly delicate, yet I had no ripped or wrinkled pages. The ring binding is also well done with black, coated double rings and thicker metals, making them durable and the pages easy to flip without difficulties or jamming. It also has a bookmark ribbon and an elastic band that stretches across the front to keep it tightly closed. The binder has everything I need for my basic exercise program (three days of dumbbell weight lifting and three days of cardio, typically running). If I counted correctly, the book has 140 pages in total. Those break down into An owner’s details page to help the book get back to you if you accidentally leave it behind. A “Body Measurement Tracker” page with space for standard body measurements and eight date columns, allowing for two months of tracking. A Short-Term/Long-Term Goals page. Two “Progress Tracker” pages with ten blocks for tracking details and 36 weeks in each block. Two “Consistency Tracker” pages with eight blank months. 129 Exercise Logging Pages, each meant for individual days with space for the date, day of the week, workout title, start/stop times, and ounces of water, as well as nutrition and supplement squares. It also has nine “exercise” rows, each with columns for six sets, each with weight and rep lines, and a tenth row for Cardio/Distance/Time/Calories. A “Personal Bests” page with 25 rows and three columns with the headers “Exercise,” “Record,” and “Reps.” Three “Notes” pages that use a dot configuration rather than lines. The print on these pages is subdued, gray in most cases, which I like because my writing stands out and allows me to see my progress more clearly. I also like how long the workout tracking pages in this book will last me. Since I do alternating cardio and weight days and have less interest in using the other components of the book, I can use one page every two days. By utilizing the “cardio” rows one day and the “exercise” row the next, I’d get roughly 8.5 months of use from the book. The only complaint I can make about this book, and it’s a weak one, is that the ribbon doesn’t quite stretch as well as I’d like toward the front of the book, so I have to be extra careful placing it. Otherwise, it gets tugged out easily. I can live with that for a journal that’s perfect in every other way. ... show more

This Fitness journal was a bit more than I bargained for as it really is suited more for serious weight lifters than casual gym goers. Very detailed entry logs for weight, reps etc for weight lifters. And there are entries for all your body measurements and body fat % also. The journal is well presented and the paper is of pretty good quality. I haven't begun using it yet as I've yet to determine how best to go about incorporating it into my workout routine, such as it is. Also, I've been laid up with a sinus infection and haven't been to the gym in about a week. I'd like to put it to good use and imagine I'll find a way to cater the entries to my liking. Embarking on my weight training journey, I found the Ultimate Fitness Journal to be the ideal companion for tracking both my strength workouts and walking exercises. Previously, I printed exercise tracker pages online, only to constantly misplace the loose sheets. Having all my exercises consolidated into this sturdy, hardcover spiral-bound book has been a perfect solution. The planner’s spiral binding allows easy use of all the pages, complemented by durable paper that feels reliable. The size makes it easily portable in the gym bag or purse. What stands out for me is the planner's provision to also record cardio, distance, time, and calories. The larger fields make information easier to read and input. While the bulk of the pages are dedicated to daily workout training logs, the journal also includes valuable sections at the beginning and end. Nice, well laid out exercise journal. I like all the columns for different exercises to log how much weight you’re lifting, or how many reps you’re doing. Good way to keep track and see that gradual progress as you gain strength. I tend to forget what weight I’m pushing if I skip a couple gym days over the weekend. So this will be a valuable tool in my fitness journey. I like that it’s spiral bound, you can just flip the cover over and not have to keep opening and closing the journal, and it will lay flat. Back to the gym, and loving it. Immediately remembering that tracking my workouts is imperative. Which machines? Which dumbbells? How much weight? How many reps? It is no fun going to the gym 5+ days a week and not knowing what you are going to do when you get there. This notebook is great for mapping your journey. Yes, there are apps out there (I am using the free version of "strong," and it is great), but writing it down and then transcribing it to eh app has really made the transition a smooth one. This is fabulous if you just need to track your workouts. I like that there is no month separator so you can just keep going. It has a section for weights and cardio. This is great if you like to handwrite your workout logs. And it has a nice habit tracker in the first part of the book.
