I love everything Pioneer Woman, from quilts and curtains to knives and pots and pans. But even if I didn’t these would be perfect. The glass is thick, heavy and have a beautiful retro design. I’ve always preferred and used top load shaker, these are hard to get on/off. Which means I’m less likely to have them fall off and dump pepper into my food. The holes are the same for each shaker, which I appreciate with cooking but do have to take extra care with using on prepared food. Amazon had me rate 'durability' and 'sturdiness' when those aren't the things that were important to me when I purchased this set. Lol 😄 I purchased them for the beautiful teal color and because they're see-through so there's no mixing up the salt for the pepper. These are mostly great! I bought them bc they look like ones my grandmother used to have. The only problem is they’re WAAAY bigger than I thought they were which is kind of a bummer bc I bought them for my young daughter to use when she eats hard boiled eggs. These are absolutely beautiful! My husband even likes them! I was reluctant to make the purchase (even though I loved the design) because I was afraid they were more teal in color and I didn’t want that (I don’t jump on color bandwagons and right now everything is teal, next week neon orange perhaps). But when I started reading reviews and noticed that the color was being described as green, I knew I had to at least give them a shot. And I’m so glad I did! The color is absolutely gorgeous. The glass is thick and they have a really good feel to them. Heavy, but not too heavy. Perfectly designed to make them look like vintage pieces, but not cheap knock off’s either.
