The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying that I am a professional musician and performing DJ so my review might be a bit skewed. If you want to check out my music and performance videos, you can go to my website mattbarri.com. The bottom line is that I could play a show with The Next Beat controller and the audience would not know the difference if I were using my CDJ 2000s or this controller. There are a lot of really cool features especially for someone who is just stating out. I like the collaboration with Beatport and Djay. The pre made folders with like genres along with having the key signature and grid/BPM make getting started much easier. Linking was easy and I really enjoyed the Bluetooth connectivity. The hardware is great. The jog wheels felt really nice although I would have liked the que pads to be a little more sensitive. I guess I am used to the pads on the CDJs. I really love how light and portable the controller is. I hope they make a case for it in the future. There is a sampler function that might be kinda fun to load some SFX into. I get asked a lot by people who are just starting out what they should get and The Next Beat controller is what I would recommend.     • Great all-in-one concept!
I gave this as a joint present for my nephew (age 16) and niece (age 20) and they both love it. Very intuitive to operate, but also includes tutorials along with the hardware, software and beats! The tutorial is a great guide through all the steps they both need to start being a DJ. I am now their favorite aunt. ... show more
