Features

  • Add 1/4 cup (Negg capful) of water to the Negg. Add your hard-boiled egg and snap on the top cap.
  • Now you're ready to slip the egg out of its shell. SHAKE the Negg up and down with enough force so that the egg strikes the caps. Remember to take it a little easy, or you will end up with a slushy mess complete with shells.
  • Shake until you feel the shell begin to "soften" - approximately 4 to 12 times. Timing will vary. The body is clear so you can watch the progress.
  • When you see the white of the egg appear, you're done. Mission Accomplished. The egg will then slip out of its shell.
  • If the egg is a reluctant sheller you may have to break the membrane after shaking to get the shell to release. This can happen with extremely fresh eggs, and is not the norm.

  • Works, but gotta know how to use it!
Color: Blue
I boiled my eggs using my rice cooker/steamer. I peeled the eggs using this Negg right out of the steamer; you don't need to ice it or cool it down. The first egg I put in, I shook it hard. So hard that the egg itself got destroyed and broken apart, leaving me with a soggy watery mess of egg yolk and bits of white. Don't shake it so hard that you would destroy a peeled boiled egg. The second time, I shook it hard enough to crack the shell but not destroy the egg, and every few shakes I checked on it to see if the peel was coming off. After no more than ~6 shakes, the shell should be almost off the entire egg in most areas. It's ok if it's still on there some. Open the cap, reach in there, and the shell peels off leaving a nice smooth egg. The only issue for me is clean up, because the shell bits are mixed with water. If you are lucky, the membrane will keep all the shell pieces together; if not, I usually swirl it and dump the whole thing out into a drain catcher and deal with it/compost it. ... show more

  • Pleasantly shocked.
Color: Blue
I didn't expect this would work. I've watched my poor girlfriend stooped over the trash can spending 10 minutes or so peeling two hard boiled eggs every morning. I saw this and figured for the price it was worth trying out even if it failed to work. It worked though. It worked beautifully. Two eggs peeled in less than 2 minutes without making a mess or having to hang out with the trash... I would recommend this to anyone who peels hard boiled eggs regularly or wants to make deviled eggs a bit easier. ... show more

  • Works as directed.
Color: Blue
Followed the directions, boiled eggs for 13 minutes. After 5 min In water bath, I shook each egg in the Device and the shell was completely separated from the egg. I did learn not to shake too hard cause I did imbed some shells into the egg when I shook hard, but shaking well produced proper results. You get the feel. Made wonderful deviled eggs. ... show more

  • Doesn’t work
Color: Blue
This product arrived fine and in good condition. But it definitely does not work as advertised. I followed the directions (and tried other variations), but the shell did not come off as advertised. All I really had at that point was a hard boiled egg with a really cracked shell, which meant attempting to remove tiny shards of egg shell by hand, because none of the shell “slid easily off”. Don’t waste your money; just stick to peeling them by hand. ... show more

  • Works if used correctly
Color: Blue
So this works, you just have to use it right. But only a little bit of water in there, shake it once vertically and then twice up and down and stop. Of you shake it to much your eggs turns into mush, but just a couple of times and it cracks the shell off nicely for easy removal.

  • Good once you follow the instructions
Color: Blue
Read the instructions on the box for best results. I wasn't adding enough water and didn't put the eggs in cold enough water for long enough. Once I did that, it worked good. Note, I tried on soft boiled eggs and made a mess!

  • It Works!
Color: Blue
What do you say after It Works! It's easy to use; neither my husband not I had any problems. I like to keep a bowl of HB eggs in the frig for quick snacks/lunches. We just take one or two out, pop them into the Negg Boiler Egg Peeler, follow easy directions and in no time at all, you've got a perfectly peeled egg with no "craters." Would definitely recommend it to a friend. ... show more

  • Super easy to use for hard boiled eggs!!
Color: Blue
LOVE this invention!! It's fun and easy to use to peel hard boiled eggs. The contraption comes with directions to boil your egg. Then place the egg in the contraption with water; shake and then take the egg out. The shell falls right off. Super easy to clean in the dishwasher. Highly recommend!!
