  • Never thought I'd be a juicer, but ...
Juicing juicing juicing … the word has been out there everywhere, so I thought it was time for me to learn what the story was on this dietary practice. I didn’t get more than a few pages into it before it peaked my interest. The part that pulled me in was the fact that it is a great way to get vitamins into your diet. I have Permeable Gut Syndrome (due to Celiac Disease), so my body has a hard time absorbing vitamins. I anticipate this will be a great way to get the gap filled in and feel healthier! There are many times I am not that hungry, this will also enable me to still get the nourishment I need even if I do not feel up to eating solid food on occasion. This book is fabulous because it walks you through step by step, even giving you details and advice about buying your first juicer. I am a firm believer that we can get everything we want via the plants available to us here on this Earth. This book just helped drive that belief home. You can juice for anything from weight loss to mental clarity. It also contains great recipes and prepping instructions. If you haven’t learned about juicing, you should absolutely read this book!!! ... show more

  • Your How-To Guide For Jumping Into Juicing!
This book is fantastic! Although it is geared more towards novice juicers, it definitely has something to offer for everyone trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This is not solely a recipe book. It incorporates facts, history, and prepping tips about a long list of various fruits and vegetables. It also tells the reader why certain combinations are most beneficial for certain recipes. For instance, one recipe calls for celery and carrots. The narrator discusses what happens when you blend the two together by noting their complementing tastes as well as the types of vitamins and minerals the drinker is ingesting when drinking that particular recipe. I also enjoyed the pictures and cutesy names for recipes such as, “Beet The Clock” for an anti-aging juice recipe and “Breakfast Mojito” to give it a brunch-y, drink feel. Chapter one and two could be guidebooks on their own. They fully break-down the three central juicers that are on the market and the advantages and disadvantages of using each one. There are helpful charts peppered throughout too in order to look-up quick prepping methods, calories, the type of juicer you as an individual should be using and/or buying, and ingredient substitutes. From kid-friendly to diabetic recipes, there truly is an option for anyone looking to jump into juicing.   • Juicing Done Right!
The Juicing Recipes Book is ideal for a novice juicer, like myself, or even someone who considers themselves to be advanced. This book does discuss three types of juicers as well as the pros and cons of each. This was information that I was not privy to. There are 150 recipes in this book divided according to primary benefit including: energy boosting, to aid in digestion, anti-aging, cleansing, weight loss, diabetes friendly, skin health and even kid friendly recipes - among others. You will find the nutritional value for each recipe as well as a summary of the benefits of each. These recipes include a wide range of ingredients that are sure to be appealing. After looking over The Juicing Recipes Book, I went to our local farmers market with a renewed sense of purpose, as I found myself picking produce with the knowledge of the nutrition and even their natural medicinal uses.
