This was my first swear word coloring book that I ever bought and it’s absolutely fabulous. I feel like Sasha went straight into my brain and drew this specifically for me! The way the curses and sarcasm roll off the tongue and onto the page is absolutely hysterical. I feel super relaxed while coloring in this book. I’ll find a page that resonates with what I’m currently feeling and then I’ll start coloring off in my own little world. I trace the easier pictures from a light board so I have more pages to color. Sometimes I’ll save them as a pdf and color them digitally. I love her books!! ... show more

    • Hilarious Adult Coloring Book for Those Who are Sarcastic!

A couple months ago, I joined the adult coloring book craze and have purchased a number of different coloring books. I mostly choose coloring books with animal designs, mandalas, and various patterns but I needed something to satisfy my sarcastic side. Once I found this book, I immediately ordered it because many reviewers claimed it was stress-relieving AND hilarious, which was exactly what I needed! When I started coloring in this book, I couldn't believe how funny and sarcastic it is! Seriously, you can't own this book and not laugh while coloring in it. The saying goes, "Laughter is the best medicine" and this book is a very inexpensive and enjoyable way to relax. The book measures 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches so the pages are regular printer paper size. There are two color test pages at the front of the book so you can test out your colored pencils or gel pens before you start coloring. There are 21 designs in all, each on their own separate page so you could tear them out to hang up, share with a friend, etc. Some are printed portrait whereas others are printed landscape. Some designs have swear words in them while others have lots of sarcasm and funny pictures to accompany them! There are a couple designs that are somewhat intricate but most of them should be fairly easy to color with colored pencils and gel pens. The paper used is somewhat thinner than other books I have but I just put some paper underneath the page so the gel pens don't bleed through. This is a great book for anyone who has a sarcastic side and loves to color! It is not meant to be used for children and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is offended by profanity or very serious. I'm enjoying this book so much that I hope Sasha O'Hara comes out with others like this! I highly recommend it! ... show more

There are some really funny and snarky pages in here, I will have great fun coloring these. The images make up for the quality of printing and the paper. The paper isn't the worst I've seen, but it's clearly for colored pencil use or pastel use only (or other dry application), gels might be a stretch (I've haven't tried yet), which is just fine with me since I have a bunch of new Polychromos and Faber Castell soft pastels that are begging to be used. The author included two palette sheets in here which was very thoughtful so that not only do you have something extra to groups your colors together, you can see how your pencils, pens and whatnot will perform on that paper without having to use one of the other pages as your test page (for bleeding and layering pencil, etc). I especially like these pages so that I can see what blending mediums will be most appropriate for that paper (mineral oil, vaseline, gamsol, 90% isopropyl alcohol, Prismacolor blender marker, Koi blender brush pen, Prismacolor blending pencil). I haven't doe in yet but I suspect the water-based blender marker (Koi) will be no good just because it's water-based, and I would not be surprised if the blender pencil picked up some of the printed ink and smears it all around for an ugly black/grey streaky mess over my coloring. But the gamsol, vaseline, and alchohol-based blender marker should do fine judging by my experience with using these on ultra-cheap Dollar Tree coloring books (O'Hara's paper is better than the books I found at the Dollar Tree, but not as solid as some books that I found at Target). And I'll even see how some cheap oil pastels will blend on the paper. Some of the images more than make up for the iffy printing on some pages, they're just too snarky to do anything but make me grin like an idiot whenever I look at them. One-sided printing is always a huge plus for coloring books. I appreciate that a lot. I'm going to get the other book by O'Hara, and hoping that soon there will be a second edition of these books that will have heavier paper (like how the Secret Garden was republished with heavier paper). ... show more

    • Varied designs to color, some complex, some not too complex for a beginner
I got this partly to calm down, and partly because it isn’t all fairies or really complex flowers or all butterflies. I like that some don’t fill the page, so I can see what it looks like in less than a month, while I decide whether every dot has to be colored a different color, or can be the same as the bit surrounding it! After hours of coloring one page, having no idea what even two square inches would look like ultimately, I gave it to good will. I am not into swearing as such, but I get frustrated like everyone, and the cover spoke to me. There are other coloring books of the samename, be sure you get THIS one! The designs are great, it is about more than the f word, good sayings, my neighbor wants mine. ry dotI looked at another of her books that had colored in pages photographed, and they looked great. Have me even more idea of how to color. I just find that I am not into every dot being the same, the repetition bores me. But I want it to look really good. Maybe I will find out more about myself and how accept a lot of things at once, if that makes sense in a clorkng book. Maybe my expectations are to high? I hope not. 🙃😀 ... show more
