Obsessed with this and I didn't even realize that they made anchors for SUPs. I am always having to keep my leg piece on when I am wanting to stop on the sand bar so the SUP doesn't float away and this has solved my problem. It is super easy to get the anchor going and to dock. It is attachable via snap clip which I can attach at the front or back of my board (very versatile) and the string is SUPER long so you can have it as close or as far as you would like it to be. The buoy is a great touch as well so you know where the anchor is at and pulling it up is very easy. The storage bag is perfect as well and has a tie at the top so you don't lose any of the contents. I have a fairly big SUP that blows up and this anchor gives me no issue. It is small enough to take with me on trips and doesn't weigh that much to provide me with a heavier vessel. This anchor kit is great for any small craft. The anchor itself has lock closed (for storage) and lock open mechanism so you can be sure it gets a decent grab when deployed. The orange paint is solid and thorough so it will take some heavy wear before the metal beneath is exposed to rust. The black rope floats has dark red striping woven into it which helps visibility some but a brighter color and or reflective strands would me a big improvement. The hollow plastic float on the clip end is more than sufficient for keeping the clip end above water unless the anchor falls below the 40ft length, it's thick enough plastic but a solid float would probably have a longer life since once this is cracked or punctured it will fill with water and sink. The anchor also comes in a nice padded carry bag so there will be lest wear and tear on everything around it while stowed in the boat. ... show more

Ever try to fish on a lake when the wind is blowing, even a little? You find your perfect spot only to lose it because you drifted. I selected this anchor to keep my kayak in place while fishing and it works perfectly. I saw some of the other anchors but they looked like the could easily get stuck on branches and other weeds that were buried in the water. When I saw the shape of this one I thought it may be just what I needed. The anchor is 8 lbs and has 40ft of rope for those deep lakes. Some of the other anchors only have 30ft so it is nice having the extra 10 with this one. It keeps you in place, even on a windy day, and is easy to retrieve and place in another location when needed. This kayak boat anchor is amazing. I use this with our paddle boards while we are on the lake. It comes with 40 ft of rope which allows us to anchor down in the coves of our lake. It also has a nice carabiner hook and great yellow floating buoy that comes in very handy. It’s great for keeping you in place while you float and get some sun in the lake. It is also good while I go swim a few laps. It keep the paddle board in place for when I get back. It’s super portable and easy to open and close. It’s also only 3.5 lbs so not a problem traveling with this on the paddle board. It comes with a great carrying case and I highly recommend this kayak anchor. ... show more

I got this 8 lb Mushroom Anchor for my 14 ft aluminum fishing boat. It's a perfect fit, and exactly what I needed. The anchor itself is nicely made with no sharp edges, and a smooth, bright orange coating covering it. The included 40 foot poly line comes pre-attached to the anchor. The bright yellow float is also already installed on the other end of the line, about a foot from the sturdy, stainless steel clip, which is, that's right, already installed on the end of the line. It includes a nice, padded carry bag, with dual drawstring (paracord) ties with 2 plastic/nylon cinching buckles. I now keep this in it's bag in the bow of my boat. ... show more

This Linkloos 3.5 lb folding anchor is great to have for a day on the lake. It's nice to be able to toss it off my SUP and just chill on my board in the water. Both the anchor and rope are holding up, but I'm a little concerned about one spot on the anchor that arrived with a spot of paint missing. I've been making sure to dry it off and put it in the sun after every use to avoid rust, but at some point I'll need to touch up the paint on that spot to keep it more protected. I'd rather not need to take the time to do that for a brand new item. Thus, 4 stars instead of 5. ... show more

I like fishing the edge of the lake where I fish. However, the wind and wake are always pushing me into the brush or down-stream. This is the anchor I've been dreaming of. It tucks nicely next to my kayak seat and is small enough you don't even know it's there. When you're ready though, just pull it out and drop anchor. It's got enough heft to it it does the job. The parts aren't a super high-quality finish, but that's not really required for a weight you drop in the lake repeatedly. I like the clip for attaching to my boat and the buoy is a nice touch. This handy anchor works perfectly for fishing from my kayak. This design doesn’t get stuck on the bottom vegetation. The PVC buoy is yellow and easy to see. The 40 ft rope is longer than some other brands and I like that, the handy rip stop storage bag keeps the rope tidy. This anchor would work great for your jet ski or even a paddle board.
