Description

Habit Nest's Dumbbell Home Workout Journal, the ultimate fitness planner, is literally a personal trainer in a book. It's a home workout journal that requires only dumbbells. The Dumbbell Home Workout Journal was created to help you use dumbbell exercises to sculpt your entire body. It teaches you everything you need to know about weight lifting effectively to meet your goals. The workout log book takes 13 weeks of complete, guided workouts you’ll use to make outrageously quick progress. Just get in the gym, we’ll handle the rest. This is NOT only for men, it's also a workout journal for women! To get real results from strength training you need: - To understand the different parts of the body that need to be developed for an overall great physique. -To push your limit constantly - keep the intensity level high, and always increasing. -To have a plan/program that is well-rounded and tailored to your goals. -To eat in a way that maximizes your progress. -To fall in love with the process. We created Dumbbell Home Workout Journal because we recognized the need for more home workout guides! It's designed to tackle every important aspect of effective strength training so that the only thing you need to do is commit to completing every day’s workout! Each day’s workouts are designed to target every different part of the muscles being worked so that your muscle development is well-rounded. There are 66 workouts in the workout planner/fitness planner. Each day’s workout consists of two different muscle groups. You’ll do four workouts per muscle, and 3-4 sets per workout. The number of reps you’ll be aiming for in each set is also laid out, so you have a direct goal. Your only job is to complete the workout and track the amount of weight used and the number of reps you actually complete in each set to track your progress. The Pyramid workout scheme is designed to keep the workouts intense throughout the entire journal.

  • Easy way to stay on track!

This journal is amazing. Gives you a workout plan that does not require technology. Easy to keep track of progress.

  • Great book
Style: Hardcover Journal
I had great plans in the new year and bought this book to do the usual get fit thing. I did one day and that was that until this week. Seven months later. I’ve tried YouTube trainers, iPhone apps, gone to the gym.. you name it. With this book, I like doing drop sets and supersets with all the equipment I have at home. Ty The diagrams are good but I like the reminders to correct form and all the tips and support. Granted it’s day two but I’m sore and that’s a good thing. ... show more

  • Great workout option for home!
Style: Hardcover
Journal comes spiral bound and good quality. It includes many tips and tricks for strength training and also nutrition. Throughout the journal, it provides more tips and tricks. Each workout focuses on two muscle groups with multiple exercises. Also includes descriptions for the workouts in the back of the book, or you can scan the QR code and find the descriptions online as well. The booking includes modifications to make them easier or harder as needed. I also like that it refers you back to the previous workouts where you can find your previous best weight and reps for that exercise. Four days a week are strictly strength training, focusing on two muscle groups and then the fifth day is a hit style workout, focusing on the whole body. Workouts are challenging, but can be modified to make it easier previously. One con I have found with this book is sometimes the descriptions of the workouts can still be a little confusing. Also, if you were using the book and the QR code website together, sometimes the descriptions don’t match up exactly. If you are looking for a good dumbbell workout to do at home, this is a great resource with exercises and a journal to track your progress! ... show more

  • Great Customer Service + Workouts
Style: Hardcover Journal
EDIT: Seller got in touch and made it right be resending a new book with a better made binding. After having used the book for a few weeks now, it's been great to have a guided workout with clear goals and progress tracking. Some of the workouts are a little unclear, but there are written explanations, and in most cases videos, showing how to do each exercise. Day 1 opened the book and the binding softly tears where the pages meet the cover, it's incredibly cheaply made. The workouts look solid and was really just looking for something to guide me through workouts and log it. I'd recommend something else, if you try and bring this to a gym or anywhere where it might be touched in any way it will break. At least the pages seem to stay together so not a total wash. ... show more

  • Perfect workout guide
Style: Hardcover
I am a retired vet with lots of surgeries and follow-on disabilities and challenges. I have had a hard time working out and staying in shape. Tried lots of apps, never actually did them. I saw this book and bought it along with the Stretching book. I am on Day 10 and am so grateful for these books. The exercises are excellent and have a lot of variety so I don't get bored. They are challenging to me, but I can still work the program. The stretches are very similar to many I have done in physical therapy so I know they are great. There are very good descriptions and online assistance if needed. The illustrations are great with a variety of body types and ages, so very inclusive. This is a program I will be able to continue, improve, and complete, and then I look forward to trying the Bodyweight and Yoga. I've lost three pounds and feel great! ... show more

  • Expected more for the price
Style: Hardcover
I love the concept of this workout journal. It gives me a place to start and tells me exactly what to do. However, I think that the quality of the journal itself is lacking. I opted for the spiral bound version, thinking it would be easier to use, it would stay open while I do my workout. However, it is incredibly flimsy. The covers should be more stiff and heavier weight paper than they are. I have glued cardstock over the front and back covers to beef it up but I fear the covers will fall off altogether sooner than later. Disappointing considering the price they charge. ... show more
