  • A Birthday Gift for my Father that he will always cherish!
For my Father's birthday, I wanted to give him something special – something that would reconnect him to his passion for Triumph motorcycles. He spent his youth riding these iconic bikes, and the nostalgia still sparkled in his eyes whenever he talked about them. That's when I stumbled upon "The Complete Book of Classic and Modern Triumph Motorcycles" by Ian Falloon. As soon as Dad opened the book, his face lit up. The beautifully illustrated pages transported him back to his riding days, and he spent hours poring over the detailed descriptions and stunning photographs. He marveled at the vintage models he once owned, like the Bonneville, and was fascinated by the modern machines that have carried the Triumph legacy forward. The book's comprehensive coverage, from 1937 to present, was impressive and my Father was captivated by the stories of Triumph's rich history, from its humble beginnings as a bicycle company to its rise as a motorcycle legend. He devoured the technical specs, and the sidebars featuring cultural icons like James Dean and Steve McQueen only added to the book's charm, "The Great Escape" is one of his all-time favorite movies and he loves the Triumph TR6 that was featured in that movie. What struck me most was seeing my Father's eyes sparkle as he turned the pages. The book rekindled memories of his adventures on two wheels, and he regaled me with tales of his own Triumph exploits, both good and bad, lol. For a moment, he was back in his youth, the wind in his hair, and the roar of the engine beneath him. This book is more than just a collection of motorcycles – it's a time capsule, a tribute to Triumph's enduring legacy. If you know a Triumph enthusiast or simply looking for a gift that will rev up a loved one's passion, look no further, this book is it, 5 Stars! ... show more

  • Timeless Triumphs: A Journey Through the Iconic Motorcycles of 1937 to Today
The Complete Book of Classic and Modern Triumph Motorcycles: 1937 to Today" by Ian Falloon is a comprehensive hardcover volume that delves into the rich history of Triumph motorcycles. Spanning from the iconic 1937 Speed Twin to contemporary models like the Speed Triple and Rocket III, this book offers detailed insights into both major and minor Triumph models. The photography throughout the book ranges from satisfactory to exceptional, providing clear and engaging visuals of various Triumph motorcycles. This visual documentation allows readers to appreciate the evolution and design of these machines over the decades. Triumph's storied legacy is well-documented in this work, highlighting its global following and cultural impact. The book includes sidebars that explore Triumph's presence in popular culture, such as its association with films like "The Wild One" and figures like Steve McQueen. While the book covers a wide array of Triumph models, it's worth noting that the film "The World's Fastest Indian" features a New Zealander, Burt Munro, who set land-speed records on a modified 1920 Indian Scout motorcycle, not a Triumph. This distinction underscores the diverse contributions of different motorcycle brands to the world of speed records and motorcycling history. Overall, Ian Falloon's book serves as an invaluable resource for enthusiasts and historians alike, offering a thorough exploration of Triumph's enduring influence in the motorcycle industry. ... show more

  • Great coffee table book
I like to keep interesting books around for people. This is a very interesting read on Triumph Motorcycles. Great even if you aren't really into bikes. It's cool to see how Triumph progressed over the years. It came wrapped in plastic shrink wrap, which I appreciated to help keep it clean during shipping. ... show more

  • Fantastic book great for a coffee table or office space
The history is one thing, but the photography and attention to detail is next level. Really fun to skim through and choose a particular page to display.

  • Lots of good information, many models covered, great looking book
So this fits all the requirements of a nice coffee table book. It looks great, is really good build quality, and great pictures. It's also more than that. It has plenty of really good information in it though in addition to all of that. There are ranges for frame and engine numbers which is super helpful if you're looking at specific information about a model and trying to make sure it is the correct model. That's super helpful on older bikes (cars too) as it's not uncommon for engines to be swapped in the instance of fatal internal damage. In addition to all of that, the book is really interesting. Triumph, even today, has it's own unique style and this book illustrates all of that with great pictures, nice captions, and lots of good information in the text. All in all, great coffee table book, but is also useful for collectors and enthusiasts of these bikes. ... show more

  • Excellent
This is a very nice book. First off, it arrived sealed from the elements in plastic wrap, which is a nice touch. The hard cover binding is very nicely and professionally done. The book has very high resolution photos printed on nice glossy paper. Each photo has accompanying text about the motorcycle in question. This is a very comprehensive historical guide of the history of Triumph, and includes just about every bike they ever made. This would make a great coffee table book (which is what I'm doing) but it would also be great for collectors or for genuine research. Overall an excellent book, and I'm quite happy with it. ... show more

  • Great Coffee Table Book
This book arrives wrapped in plastic which I appreciate as it gives it a little extra protection from damage during shipping. Lots of high-quality photos and supporting text in the book about the history of Triumph motorcycles which should appeal to any Triumph motorcycle fan (and likely any motorcycle fan in general). It's a large format coffee table book with vibrant printing and great construction quality overall (binding, cover, page thickness). ... show more
