Description

The best of the biggest in three luscious dimensions: It’ll knock both your eyes out! OK, imagine the best photos from the iconic first volume of the body parts series, The Big Book of Breasts, in a new 28 by 28 cm size, but popping off the page in state-of-the-art 3D. An impossible dream? Not so, Luddites! In this wonderful modern world of digital magic, 90 photos from the original book, plus 18 stunning new photos, have been transformed from boring old last- century 2D into cutting edge 21st century 3D by Jon Schnitzer and The Brain Factory, the geniuses whipping up 3D projects for filmmaker Tim Burton. This 220-page special edition has a revised introduction, updated layout, and comes with a pair of red/blue anaglyph viewing glasses. Unlike other 3D pictures you may have seen before, the photos in The Big Book of Breasts 3D do not look distorted when viewed without the glasses. The Brain Factory’s technique is so subtle it’s hard to even detect the red/blue tint in many of the black and white photos, but when you put on your glasses the curves leap from the page, not in flat layers as in old-style 3D, but as fully rounded body contours. It doesn’t take a genius to guessthat this will be the gift book of the year. As Playboy’s Hugh Hefner recently observed, “What would people most like to see in 3D? Probably a naked lady.” We hear you Hef, and we deliver. Text in English, French, and German Read more

  • Great conversation piece, but....
I bought this for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day and also so we would have an awesome conversation piece sitting on our coffee table when company comes over. All in all this book is amazing. It's better than I thought it would be. It's huge! And there's hundreds upon hundreds of erotic vintage photos in black and white. The black and white aspect gives it a somewhat classy feel as opposed to any other book of this type I have seen. I will say however the book is somewhat useless without the 3D glasses they provide. Since they only give you one pair, you can only look at it one at a time. After about 5 minutes, however, the glasses start giving you a massive headache; Every one of my friends, my boyfriend, and myself had the same complaint. If you want this as a novelty conversation piece it's great, but don't expect to sit there for hours ogling the pictures unless you want to deal with a super headache. ... show more

  • The Past Figure Models Are Given Wonderful New Life
3D films and comic books were 'hot stuff' when I was a young man. Applying this technology to photos of figure models produces wonderful results. Those of us who grew up reading Playboy or Juggs will be astounded by the difference 3D images bring to the iconic models of our day! Yes, Paula Page and Ushi Diggart, Sylvia MacFarland and Virginia Bell and many other fine young women are immortalized and given their proper curvaceous due in this book. Photos are normally black and white images, paper quality is superb, the prints have been carefully made and the binding is built to last in a way that young bodies are not... Sexually experienced humans will not find these 'starter' images to be as erotic as equally tasteful contemporary images are but it is fine for readers from my era to revisit the young women we dreamed about. ... show more

  • The Book is huge, and 3d is amazing
I bought this after reading the ad in playboy. It is a huge book, and very heavy. There are lots of pics, and the 3d is mind-blowing without a doubt. Some pics absolutely feel like you are in the same room. One kneeling girl with a huge rack appears to be ready for service, and all of the models have heavy hangers. The only things that leave a little to be desired are the fact that all of the pics are black and white. I'm not sure if they have to be to pull off the 3d, but most appear to be 60's stock photos, and/or recreations designed to look like 60's stock photos. Many of the models have repeat pics, and several are "unknown". The other downside is the fact that only a couple of the pics show complete nudity. A couple of bush shots in the lot. If it were full nudity, it would be much better. That said, if you were to take this to a bar, or party, it would be a massive hit with friends, and conversation piece no doubt. I hope they make a more modern version of this same idea. ... show more

  • I don't speak German but...
Bought this as a gift for a friend after my husband saw it advertised in Playboy. Some of the 3-d was iffy, most was pretty cool, and I don't have any issue with the fact that the photos are "vintage." There were some hot babes in there! (Although they're now old enough to be my grandma, ew.) What irked me is the writing for the few of us who actually wanted to get a bit of a history lesson from the few pages of text included in the front. The text alternates between english and german without any rhyme or reason that I can tell. You read a few sentences then it literally switches to german mid-sentence, stays like that a few lines, then back to english. What publisher lets a book go out like that? Granted I understand the pictures are the selling point but the language thing was just so strange. ... show more

  • HOLY GAZONGAS!!!!
Some of the models are quite dated, but wow....I think it's a great coffee table book (HEY, don't judge, I keep an eclectic table, okay?) The glasses are a little quaint and a bit goofy, but the book means well. Personally, I think it was pretty good reading too....the tragic part is while we in the US live in a paradoxically puritanical society, there is so much beauty in the human form to appreciate. I know the shower scene in 'Starship Troopers' will NEVER happen, but what's a little nip slip on TV between viewers? ... show more

  • Bought as quasi-gag gift....but everyone loved it...
Ok...this isn't R-E-A-L-L-Y porn. Most of these are taken from 60's through 80's and are on the cheap end at that...but...the 3D made it hilarious and EVERYONE wanted to page through it. The guy I bought it for was going off to college and he later said...EVERYONE there came in a leafed through it tooo. All I can figure is the combination of boobs and 3D is a natural attractant for most men (and a few ladies)....this has a narrow audience but for what I paid for it, it was a great gift... ... show more

  • Not Up To Par
After getting the Big Book of Pussy, which I thought was very well done, I decided to get this book to go along with it. Well, I find it disappointing. First of all, and contrary to what they claim, without using the 3D glasses, the pictures seem like the viewer has double vision. The red and blue outlines are clearly visible. The pictures themselves are also very pedestrian. Either cliched poses or boring compositions. Finally, it should have been called the Book of Big Breasts. I know that there is a commonly expressed belief among the male population that big breasts = great breasts. I do not share that belief. For a book about breasts, there aren't very many attractive ones in this book. ... show more

  • Excellent Quality
This is far and away my favorite of the Dian Hanson "Big Book of..." books. There's a little bit of text, but mostly it's what I hoped/expected: many photos of women with large breasts (the other Big Book books alternated a lot between text and pictures). I was a little skeptical about the 3-D bit with this book, but it really is a cool effect here. ... show more
