  • Super handy little gadgets
Color: White
I do wire wrapping, and these work perfect to hold my weaving wire to keep it from twisting and kinking. Wonderful product!

  • Easy to store, easy to use
Color: White
I love the collapsible bobbins. They are easy to use and excellent for storing nylon cording as well as natural twine.

  • Good for wire work
Color: White
I know most that buy these will use for kumihimo, but I got these for making wire weaving jewelry, so you can coil the wire without bending or kinking it. I am thinking I may also use this for colorwork in my knitting as well, as my "figure-8" yarn often falls open. This would keep the yarn secure and untangled. It's always nice when you find a craft tool that you can use for more than one craft. ... show more

  • Great for Kumihimo braiding
Color: White
These little disks are flexible plastic. You open them up and wind on your crochet cotton then flip down the domed side and it holds onto the threads while you work with them keeping all your dangling bobbins from getting tangled with each other. Pulling some more length out is easily done, and you usually don't get the whole unwinding and falling to the floor thing. I don't use them as much anymore because I am in a medieval recreation group, and they are very plastic, but if that is not a concern they work fine. Kumihimo with these pre-wrapped with several yards of your fiber is one of the only crafts you can do on a plane that doesn't need sharp pointy things. Not a 5-star because they do not hold #5 crochet cotton well. For Sinfonia or any other cabled cottons they work great, and probably for thicker crochet cottons. Never tried them with other fibers. Flax (linen) or smooth wool should work well. A foam kumihimo disk abrades silk so that is not recommended. The Japanese used the maru Dai (a smooth wood kumihimo disk with legs) for silk, and these bobbins would not be heavy enough to balance the counterweights. ... show more

  • Good value for Sturdy Product
Color: White
I bought these for knitting intarsia, and they are perfect for the job. The bobbins easily snap closed and pop open, holding the yarn in place without all the drama that comes with just tying butterflies in the yarn. Yay!

  • So useful!!
Color: White
I have been using these for years for Kumihimo projects. They are so much more durable than regular bobbins. Don't over fill them though, or they will not close enough to hold the thread securely.

  • SO helpful
Color: White
I am a wire wrap artist and I absolutely love these! I wish I had been introduced to them years ago! I prefer the smaller ones because they are easier to maneuver when you are wrapping. Don't loop too much wire on them because the heavier they get, the more difficult they become to work with. I throw these on a drill and count to 100 while it spins and its literally the perfect amount and weight every time. Worth every penny, even if I'm prone to losing them. ... show more
