My wife bought this to use with her Joy xtra. It came in a nice box with a good amount of vinyl and pretty good tools. The transfer tape didn't work so great. She tried multiple times for a project she is working on but it would not stick. When it finally got onto the transfer paper, it would not transfer onto the object. ... show more

This set is perfect for trying out new technics on your cricut. I've been wanting to try out some iron on stuff and some more card ideas, so I'm excited to get started. There's a nice selection of colors as well. I did a project last Christmas and I easily spend this much just to get the colors I wanted in vinyl and it was a small project. The tools are nice also. I have a cricut maker, but still thought this would be an awesome set and I wasn't wrong. It comes with some really awesome tools. I love the little cup thing for vinyl scraps. I ordered this because I just picked up a Cricut explore 3 on Amazon deal days. It’s meant for a Cricut Joy Xtra, but the only things I can’t really use are the mats. The rest is pretty great. The kit comes with most tools one would need to get started on a variety of projects. Also included is a large assortment of materials like a couple of different types of vinyl and a card making kit. It came thoughtfully packaged and carefully arranged so that everything arrived in excellent condition. When I was shopping for my machine, I noticed that some of the Cricut brand bundles, with much fewer items, were valued at over $100. $100!!! This set is great quality, and you’ll save tons of money over buying the Cricut bundles or buying the pieces individually. The mat set alone costs $18! The Cricut basic tool set (with fewer pieces) is $13. If you’re considering buying this bundle, just do it, you won’t be disappointed. ... show more

I was dubious but this was a great value. The vinyl does snag a but if you're working with finer detailed projects, but it's a great sturdy product otherwise. The cards require an extra bit of pressure when cutting, but it's super easy to use on the joy Xtra!

This box set is a great beginner set or gift with a cricut. It has all of the weeding tools and more for vinyl projects (more than the official Cricut sets, which I purchased in the past). The mats have light and standard adhesion, and a card holder mat. There are a variety of printing materials. I appreciate that the iron on material can also be printed on an inkjet or markers to create your own design! This set has a lot of great materials all included to get started on crafting projects. It is much simpler and easier than my own experience trying to figure out what kinds of materials to purchase when I first bought a Cricut machine. I primarily use a Cricut Joy (not xtra), so I plan to cut down the materials to fit. I’ll save the mats for when I upgrade to a different machine! ... show more
