Overall this product is a well made product that does great for raking or thatching. the pieces of the handle are a little loose when put together, but overall that doesn't effect its usefulness. I think I would definitely think that if you need one, this millionhome thatch rake would definitely be useful and at a pretty decent price for what it is. This seems like a serious thatch rake with some solid teeth. Unfortunately, I don’t think I trust the threading on the handle to withstand the work that I’d put it through, since one of the pieces didn’t screw in very well. Also, it’s summer now and most of the crabgrass has dried up, so I don’t have a good sense of how it would perform with clumps that are less easy to pull up. Currently, it just combs through the tufts of dead grass and isn’t able to break through the hard-pack dirt to get under it, so it's not doing anything. Definitely would prefer a rake with handle parts that screw together firmly (if you look at the product image, you can see that the threads are kind of just graduated bumps, not ones that fit together well). Maybe I'll give it another go during the fall. ... show more

The Thatch Rake, 15-Inch Wide Dethatcher with Double-Sided Thickening Tines, has been an amazing addition to my yard work tools. Right from the start, the 15-inch width made dethatching a lot faster and more efficient, covering a good amount of ground with each pass. The double-sided thickening tines are incredibly effective—they really dig into the thatch without feeling too aggressive on the lawn itself. I found it particularly useful for getting deep into areas where dead grass had built up over time. The stainless steel handle is sturdy and doesn’t feel flimsy, even when applying more pressure on tougher spots. I’ve used other dethatching tools in the past, but this one’s balance between weight and durability stands out. It’s heavy enough to do the work but not so heavy that you tire out quickly. I also appreciate how easy it is to clean and maintain after a long day of yard work. thatch rake, with a photo of what you find upon opening the package….that first part is pretty impressive. The pole is pretty sturdy with reinforced black plastic threaders at each joint connection of the pole, and the segments allow for customized length for the pole up to 63”. The pole is stainless steel, hollow, and I wouldn’t describe it as “flimsy” but I still feel it could be dented easily and possibly not long-lasting with heavy use. The rake itself…sturdy, does a good job at breaking up soil/thicker grass, and easy to clean due to the larger space between the tines. (Valued at $39.99 at time of review) ... show more
