These paint pens are working extra fine , points . Nice sharp tips , holding up well so far . Not sure of their longevity yet . So far so good. I am using to mark tools .

    • Fine detail paint markers
These paint markers have extra fine tips which are excellent for completing fine details. These were primarily used for rock painting and completing the fine detail and writings on a rock surface. I was satisfied with the even paint application and vibrant color. It was important to allow the paint to dry before using another marker on the same surface since when mixed, the marker tip got contaminated. Overall the product is good but at $10, the price is steep for only 5 markers. There are other acrylic pen sets at this price point that offer more markers with greater color variety. ... show more

    • Doesn’t write smooth
The pens are different than other paint pens I’ve gotten. You need to shake and then push down on the tip numerous times before any paint comes out. The tip of the pen isn’t smooth so any kind of writing or painting there are more streaks than normal. My daughter and I used them on rocks and paper. Maybe they would respond differently on a different material or object. The paint did come off our hands easy enough. We didn’t get any on our clothes so I’m not sure about that. ... show more

    • Nice pens for small details
I haven’t used paint pens before — always brushes. And honestly, I’ll probably mostly stick to brushes. I am a hobbyist, not someone with any skill at painting, but I enjoy doing Paint Night events. And nothing I’ve done there has detail. So these might be more for signing the corner of my work that anything. Still nice to have. I may find other thinks to label, but as these are very fine, it would only be small things. ... show more

    • Smooth flowing fine tip paint pens
I enjoy using all different kinds of mixed media in my art and paint markers are the easiest, fastest, least messy way to a finished design without a lot of clean up. The well stocked arts supply needs paint pens of every size and what I particularly like about these pens are their extra fine tips which you absolutely have to have if you want to do any kind of detail work using paint pens. Along with the fine tips is the need for the paint to flow smoothly, without hiccups that can so easily ruin a design. Wider tips can be more forgiving but fine tips simply are not. These pens are great for detail work, with free flowing paint that's effortless. The only issue with this set is the limited number of colors (but if you can only afford a basic set, these are the five colors you want - the primary colors plus black and white); theoretically, with these colors you should be able to make every color imaginable. Unfortunately, that's not the case with paint pens since colors aren't mixed on a palette but directly on the face of the object being painted. When using traditional paints and brushes those five colors are really all you need to mix any color you want on a palette that can then be used with a brush to paint the created color onto your chosen surface. Unfortunately, the colors flowing from a paint pen can't be mixed together to form more colors in the same way without ending up with a muddy mess directly on the project and a pen tip that can't be used for any other color without removing it and thoroughly cleaning it. That defeats the purpose of using paint markers in the first place. So.... I would order these again if I needed fine tip paint markers in these colors but I would not order them if I could find a similarly priced pack that contained more than just the basic colors. ... show more
