The product itself is a good running engine. No instructions came with it. There is a pinned connector exiting the engine case that fits the cdi and what not. This connector goes to the transmission for a gear indicator and will not facilitate a running engine. It took me a little while to figure that out but once I did I slapped this bad boy into a 1984 honda TRX with a very minor amount of modification to the fame(drilled one 1/2" hole). ... show more

This unit is just a crap ,take 3 hours to get the kick ,when it runs is good but the issues is get it started,I don’t recommend this BS ,the seller doesn’t no nothing about the motor they sale ,is amazing they don’t know how to answer when I asked about what harness for switch and everything else this motor use,is dumb Amazon is getting down,they let everyone sale through there website,with out at least checking first ... show more

    • Replaced a dead pitbike engine on a TaoTao DB14
This engine has been solid for 2 years of some pretty hard riding by my son and various adults. I replaced a faulty engine on a TaoTao DB14 and have very few complaints. I used another carb that I got here for $15, usually starts in 2-3 kicks and runs very strong. The shifter is a little clunky for kids and the case is wider that stock but I expected that. It bolted right in, I also had to get a new throttle cable because of length. Change the oil immediately, use 4 stroke motorcycle oil. ... show more
