The media could not be loaded. There’s A LOT to commend this carrier, especially at an unbelievable $29.99. The thing is really well made and thought out. And if you have a small cat or dog, this carrier is a luxury condo. If you have a big cat like my boy, Axl, the carrier is… comfortable. It has all the bells and whistles of carriers of this design, all of which are at least four times more expensive: like multi-vented, scratch-proof mesh windows, sherpa-like cover for the lounging area (which is removable and unzippable from the hard interior to be washed), pockets, interior leash, etc. I’m not going to enumerate all the benefits of this carrier because they’re well described on the Amazon site — and all true. But there is one thing I don’t like (but if you read the rest of this review you’ll see it ends up being a benefit), which is that unless both side door are zipped up, the roof of the carrier falls in. Yes, I use carriers to take Axl to the vet and to the groomer. But what I really look for in a carrier is if that carrier will be good for airline travel. Uff. TSA will ask you — insanely — to remove your cat from the carrier. Right. I’ll be scarred for life and I’ll never see Axl again. ASK FOR A PRIVATE ROOM, they have them. In the room, you can hold on to your terrified cat while TSA inspects the carrier. The carrier will “almost” fit under the seat in front of you. This is when the only issue I have with this carrier will become a benefit. Because the carrier doesn’t have a hard frame, you’ll be able to squish it under the seat for take off. Afterward, you’ll drag the carrier out and open the top. Your pet will thank you; and because he’ll be wearing a harness that’s attached to the convenient “leash” inside the carrier, your pet will stay put and take a nap. My boy, Axl, is 15 pounds so the strap on the back of the carrier is great. You’ll attach it to your luggage through your airport travails, or you’ll get a cart designed for these things. I've been a fan of these soft-sided pet carriers over the heavy plastic rigid ones for years. These carrier has so many great configurations in terms of 'windows' for your pet to look out of and providing easy access once you have them inside. The size of this carrier is small so be sure to note the measurements before ordering. One of my two cats is definitely too big for it and even my smaller one would be cramped if inside it for long periods of time. I have no plans on taking them on an airplane but for quick trips to/from the vet, this should work well for my smaller cat. I got this for my local cat rescue group. She often goes into colonies and will collect them all so she can spay/neuter and adopt or release (as barn cats) so I try to grab carriers that can breakdown since she needs so many. This is decent quality. It was easy to set up and take down. You can give your cat plenty of window space or put the sides down if your cat gets anxious. ... show more

    • Versatile, Airy, and Easy to Use
This is a great carrier option for a small pet. It is versatile, easy to use, easy to keep clean, and easy to keep air circulation flowing through. It's also easy to leave set up so a pet can get used to it. It doesn't seem to have any odors or issue when brand new, and our cats took to it very readily. In fact, they were fighting over it at one point! The top, side, and front access points are easy to get to, and the versatility of the shade is fantastic. We can either keep it fully open, fully screened off, or partially open. I love that variety! And my daughter loves both the color (pink), and the fact that it can be carried over the shoulder. This is a great, versatile carrier. It's constructed well, and I like that it has a cover for the mesh windows - though I wish there were one for the front door as well. Sometimes it is nice to block out all outside distractions to make kitty feel secure. I just drape a towel over if I need to. The inside padding seems comfy. In fact, I leave the carrier opened under my bed, and my girl takes her daily afternoon naps IN the carrier, so she likes it. It's a good value and quality for the price. ... show more

This is a nice little carrier, but I think your kitty will grow out of it quickly. That said, it is well made and a nice color. There are multiple ways to load and unload your kitty to make things easier. Our cats like to go in from above, but then be taken out the side.     • Little tricky to assemble
like a lot of collapsible pet carriers, it can get tough stretching the material out to make it sturdy. This was expected. After that, the side access is great. So much easier that trying to drop a cat that does not want to go to the vet through the top of the carrier. The screen material survived claws and teeth very well. So this is a little bit different than I was expecting only because it doesn't really fold up and down really easily. The zippers are really stiff and when you zip up the sides, it is how the whole thing stay in a rectangle. I am okay with that, but it is really cumbersom with the handles, the flap, and the liner when trying to get it to go together. I do want something to keep the bttom liner in place, maybe I missed how to do that though. The top and front seem like they might be good to get a cat through, but the side is a small hole in the larger side that zips to create the frame. My cats are difficult to get into a carrier, so I will never use it. There is a pocket on the side that doesn't have the hole and a strap on the back to tuck over the handle of a roller bag. ... show more
