Got the bag loaded up and did a few laps around the yard. Even put my 4 year old in it. 36 lbs. didn’t even strain the zippers. Material feels tough and durable. TONS OF ROOM!! I’m a fairly large guy 5-10, 290 lbs and everything fit me fine. With 40 lbs loaded it feels very manageable so far. Can’t wait to test it more. I went on 4 shakeout trials, 2 weeks Philmont, NM scout hiking event in 2022. All went perfect. Definitely It is not light weight but comfort, rugged, easy to organize things. I had lot of fun with my bag. Well built, durable, good looking. My Sleeping bag, tent parts went in to easy to access bottom compartment. 3 Side packets, 1 front, 1 top packet for Maps were plenty of things like Rain Jacket, whistle, maps, spoon, knife, quick access food, compass, brush items, toilet paper, sanitizer, tyvek sheet, head light ...... etc for quick access. Also bottom two side packets for 2 water bottles. Middle portion left for Sleeping mat, 4-5 days of food, water bladder, cloths and few misc. troop gear and other items. I carried around 45-50lbs without any issue. Draw strings were good. This helped me to organize better and avoid attaching lot of hanging/dangling items outside of the bag. I bought this for my annual Oregon Wilderness tour. I probably over packed, but this pack stood up to heavy weight, long distances, and was easy to take off when I needed to sit down and rest. Sturdy, comfortable, able to fit a lot of stuff in it. For the price, I'm not sure you could find a better pack. Heck, even for a higher price you'd be hard-pressed to find something better. I am reviewing the 85 liter size, and when you fill this bag it is not extraordinarily sturdy. The bag is well made and no threading has failed, but with 20+ lbs in the bag properly distributed, the shoulder straps still creak audibly with each step after a few months of weekly use.
