  • Actually works well for the price but ended up returning.
Style: 2 Computers 2 HDMI Monitors USB 3.0
I really liked the product. I have a long history with KVMs since I have always ran two or more PCs/laptops at a time. I have owned MANY KVMs over several years so I am well acquainted with how they work. When I saw the price on this one I was skeptical but decided to try. It is very well built. Does not feel light and flimsy but actually has some weight to it and the buttons are solid. The plugs on the back we all very secure and it installed in minutes. I especially like that instead of a typical power supply it uses a USB 5v cable to an included phone-charger-like plug. My power strip actually has USB A plugs so I simply plugged it right into that and it worked, saving an extra wall wart. Actually, at point I forgot to plug it in and it still worked so my guess is the power from the USB connects to the PCs is enough to power it. I would have kept it if it were not for one thing - it does not support waking the PCs via the keyboard or mouse. This is something I rely on so it ended up being a deal breaker. Another thing to note was that once or twice in the week I used it that the screens were not recognized by the OS (Windows) and I had to fully power cycle everything including the KVM. I have seen this before with other KVMs so it is actually not uncommon but twice in one week is a bit high. Out of curiosity, I contacted customer support to see if they provided any kind of firmware updates thinking that maybe in the future I would see improvement on the blank screen thing and the slow switching between PCs. They said they do not on this device so however it works now is how it will be. Its a nice unit for the price; I wished it had worked out. Note that the issues I saw could very well be unique to my setup so it shouldn't discourage you from trying it out. ... show more

  • A good USB sharing switch with useful features
Style: USB Sharing Switch
I recently got my hands on the USB Sharing Switch, and it has been a helpful addition to my workspace for managing USB devices between two computers. Here's a review highlighting its practical features: Versatile USB Device Sharing: This USB Sharing Switch lets two computers share up to three USB devices, including a keyboard, mouse, external hard drive, printer, and more. It simplifies device management and makes switching between computers a breeze. Digital Display: The built-in digital display is a useful feature, allowing you to see the current channel and hotkey status, even in low-light conditions. Premium Build: The aluminum alloy shell gives the switch a sturdy and durable feel. It's a step up from plastic alternatives, providing decent drop resistance and corrosion resistance. Hotkeys for Quick Switching: Hotkeys for manually switching the keyboard and mouse are handy. They offer convenience for switching between computers quickly. You can also disable these hotkeys when needed. Increased Work Efficiency: Seamless keyboard and mouse hotkey switching improves workspace efficiency. The 5V power supply ensures stability, even with high-power USB devices. Audio and Microphone Support: The inclusion of a 3.5mm audio and microphone slot allows for seamless switching of audio devices between computers. Setting up audio in Windows is straightforward with the provided instructions. Beep Sound Control: You have the option to disable the 'beep' sound when switching between computers, which is really helpful for maintaining a quieter workspace. Minus - Packaging Could Be Improved: The one downside I noticed was the packaging. It could be better in terms of presentation and quality. While this doesn't affect the product's performance, it's an area where some improvement could make a positive impact. In conclusion, the USB Sharing Switch is a good solution for managing USB devices between two computers. It offers practical features and has improved my workspace efficiency. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of higher-end models, it gets the job done effectively. If you're in need of a straightforward USB sharing solution, this product is worth considering. ... show more

  • Comes with cables, quality build, worked okay at 2K 100hz, but not 144hz (Update from seller)
Style: 2 Computers 1 DP Monitor USB 3.0
UPDATE 9/7/23: The seller contacted me. My email got lost for a few days in their spam folder. They apologized, saying they normally reply immediately. They offered to send me a replacement unit, and they also offered to pre-test it at 4K@144Hz. Additionally they said if I continued having a problem, it could be interference and they offered to a free DP signal repeater to see if that would help. I had already returned the unit to Amazon, but I would have accepted their offer if I had received the email before then. Added one star for the excellent response, and as I point out below, this is a well built, quality unit. --- Original review: This is a quality product. Metal case, well built, it comes with all, the cables (two 5ft USB 3.0 and three 5ft DisplayPort 1.4). It also comes with a power supply. I really wanted this to work, but while it worked perfectly at 2K 100hz, the monitor would blink at 144hz. I emailed the manufacturer for suggestions, but they never replied (THEY DID, CORRECTED ABOVE). It may just be my monitor being fussy. Your mileage may vary. Sadly I sent it back for a refund. I can honestly say that as long as you don't need to go over 100hz refresh (or are willing to at least try it at 144Hz, as monitors vary), this is an excellent product. I liked that there was a hotkey option, but you could also disable it. I can also confirm this KVM works with Corsair RGB keyboards BUT, as recommended in the FAQ, you need to plug the keyboard into the USB 3.0 jack for the RGB to work. I wound up using a simple A-B DisplayPort switch made by GiantMatrix and sold here on Amazon. It did work at 144hz, with 5ft cables, and that suits me fine as I really don't need to switch the keyboard and mouse. ... show more
